"Hey Brick." I try to act calm and collected.
"So I was thinking, tomorrow do you wanna go on my morning jog with me? I know you have your morning jog too, but I thought maybe we could together." He looks down at the ground.
He's so hot! Brick is the only guy who has ever made me feel like a girl. I mean, Lightning doesn't even know I'm a girl!
Don't sound stupid and girly. "Sure. I'll meet you outside at six. Don't think I'll go easy on you." Did I mention he's my next door neighbor?!

"Good morning Jo!"
"Morning."
"Still think you'll beat me?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't I?"
"Because I got the head start." He takes off running. Oh that cheater!

"H-how did you beat me?" Brick pants out off breath. I won as usual. Back on that show, I beat him all the time.
"Nothing's changed." I shrug confidently.
"So Jo..."
"Uh yeah that's my name."
"Will you go on a date with me Saturday night?"
Uh can I faint right now?!
"Sure." I play off my excitement.
