Chapter 20

~•Aphmau's POV•~
I quickly jolt awake to the sound of dishes, pots and pans hitting the floor. I look at the clock on my wall. It was just about 3 am. I turn to Laurance and lightly shake him to wake him up.
"Laurance..." I whisper. He doesn't budge. Damn, he's a heavy sleeper. I thought of a idea on how to wake him. I cradled his face in my hand as I moved my face closer to his. I closed the gap between us and our lips touched connecting us in a kiss. He woke up and kissed back wrapping his arms around my waist. I could feel him smile through the kiss. I pulled away and smiled at him, then remembered why I woke him up in the first place. My face filled with worry and Laurance could tell as my face was dimly lit by the moonlight shining through the window. He sat up quickly and took my hands in his.
"Aphmau, is something wrong?" He asked, concern in his voice. I nodded in fear as I was still shaken up from the horror movie we had watched prior to falling asleep.
"What is it?" He examined my face for a clue as too why I looked so terrified.
"I heard pot and pans clanging downstairs" I said. The sound was heard again, I throw myself against his chest and placed my hands on his bare chest. He stroked my head with his hand as he pulled me closer to him.
"Its ok, I'll go check it out." He said getting off the bed. "You stay here, ok?" He pet my head as he headed to the door. I got up and wrapped my arms around him from behind.
"I wanna come" I told him. He looked at me wide eyed then he nodded.
"Ok, but stay behind me. If someone's in the house I don't want you getting hurt" He said. I nodded my head and grabbed Laurance's hand. We head out the door and down the stairs. I squeezed Laurance's hand and he rubbed thumb over my knuckles to comfort me. I smiled. We continued down the stairs until we reached the door of the kitchen. Laurance slowly walked into the kitchen. I held his hand tightly and walked behind him. We walked through the entire kitchen. Nothing's here... Weird...
"Bark!" I hear from behind me. Laurance quickly whipped around and I jumped into his arms. I buried my face in his chest. He let out a small chuckle and I looked up at him confused. He nodded his head in to front of him. I looked and there sat a female huskey wagging her tail and panting. I walked over to her and pet her head, she wagged her tail. I checked to see if she had a collar and she did. It read:

Luna
97 Mystreet

Laurance came over and kneeled down next to Luna. He looked at her collar then at me and nodded.
"Do you want to take her home now or tomorrow?" Laurance asked petting Luna.
"I'm tired, we'll bring her home tomorrow morning. For now I'll just put her in the guest room" I answered standing up.
"Ok, I'll get her a bowl of water and meet you upstairs" He said. I nodded and he kissed my forehead. I smiled. He turned to the cupboard to get a bowl and began to fill it with water.
"Come here, Luna" I said in a high pitched voice. Luna wagged her tail and came over to me. I walked up the stairs and she followed. I brought her to the guest room and laid a blanket down on the floor for her.
"Here you go, girl" I said patting the blanket. She came over and laid down on the blanket. I pet her from her head to her tail. Laurance soon came in with a bowl of water in his hand. He placed it next to Luna and pet her head.
"Come on, love, let's go get some sleep" Laurance said grabbing my hand.
"Let's" I replied. We walked back into my room and laid down on my bed. I nuzzled my head into Laurance's bare chest and he wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me closer to him. He kissed my forehead. I looked up at him and smiled.
"Sleep well, my love" He said looking down at me with a warm smile.
"You too, Laurance" I replied returning the smile. He kissed my forehead once more before we both dozed off to sleep with each other by our sides. Exactly how I plan it to always be, and exactly how I want it to always be. With him by my side, holding me tightly against him through thick and thin, depression and excitement. Having adventures in our dreams that will someday come true. Adventure's I only want to have with you...
