9) Meant To Be?

"(Y/N) please let me talk to you," Jade was in the bathroom now.

"Jade, no! Everything's ruined. Dave... He-" you couldn't finish because you burst into tears in the stall.

"(Y/N)," Jade said, "It'll be okay. I just want you to know that."

She left the bathroom with no other words.

"(Y/N)?" Dave's voice echoed through the bathroom.
"Get out! This is the girl's bathroom!" you yelled back.

"(Y/N), I'm sorry I didn't come to you before. The teacher made me clean up the mess. Lisa said she was going to make you feel better. Yeah, and for the record, I'd follow you anywhere," Dave said.

"Dave," you sniffled, "none of this matters anymore."

"What are you saying?" He asked,
"(Y/N)?"

"Dave I guess I'm saying we-" you choked. This would be hard. You gave up and let the tears flow down your cheeks. You unlocked the bathroom stall and stepped out to face Dave.

"(Y/N), no," you watched the tears stream down his face, too.

"Dave. I'm saying we should break up," you cried.

"(Y/N), (Y/N), no," he grasped your head in his hands and he was sobbing uncontrollably now.

"Maybe it's for the best. Lisa is obviously determined to ruin us."

"Why let her then?" He asked.

"It's easier, Dave. Letting go just seems like the easiest option right now. Goodbye, Dave," you pushed his hands down and walked out of the bathroom.
