You call us outcasts? Ha. Wow. The reason we're "outcasts" is you. You decide not to let us fit in. You decide to let us fall below. It's your fault that the stereotype exists.

We sit on the stairs. By the garbage cans. In the counselor's office. We sit there because we don't fit in. We sit there because you think you're better than us, when truly, it's you on the inside.

I wrote a poem. It sort of has to do with this.

It's funny how

When the bullet hits,

When the knife slices,

When the rope tightens,

When the pill dissolves,

You suddenly feel bad,

But when I'm here,

When I'm alive,

It doesn't matter what happens to me.

This is how the "outcasts" feel.

We get excluded from everything, and left out of everything. Speaking of this topic, the next chapter with be a list of great books that have to do with the outcast stereotype.

But before we get to that, I need to make sure you know something:

If you're an outcast, you're special. You're basically Divergent. Because you're different. You don't fit into one category. You have your very own.
