"You need to leave, Harry." I whispered, prying myself from his rather tight grip.

He knitted his eyebrows together,

"What? Why?" He asked, running a hand through his hair.

"You're rushing things." I stammered.

"No I'm not." He shot back.

"Yes you are." I hissed, narrowing my eyes at him.

"Fine, If you really want me to leave then I guess I will leave." He mumbled, making his way back over to the window. He put his hands on the frame but just stood there, not taking a step further.

I let out a groan,

"Is there a problem?"

Harry scratched the back of his neck and shrugged his shoulders,

"I uh, I don't know how to get down."

I raised an eyebrow at him,

"Just go down the way you got up!" I practically shouted.

Harry just laughed,

"It's not as easy as it sounds, sweetheart."

"If you got up here you sure as hell can get yourself down." I seethed.

"Okay, but if I break my arm or a few ribs I'm blaming you." He mumbled, making his way out of the window and onto the roof.

I leaned on the frame of the window and watched as Harry made his way to the end of the roof.

"I'm gonna do it," he called to me.

"Just one more step."

"Okay." I shrugged.

"I might break my neck but I'm doing it." He continued to call to me.

"Alright." I mumbled.

"I might get a concussion, shatter my skull," he continued.

I rolled my eyes,

"Man up."

"It's a pretty big drop." Harry smirked, looking back at me.

"You got yourself into this mess." I defended.

"For you." He pointed out.

I let out a sigh,

"Come back in."

Harry's smile grew as he climbed back through the window, his hair a mess from the heavy wind outside.

"I knew you'd change your mind." He winked.

"I didn't, I'm just gonna sneak you out the front door."

Harry put his hands up in defense and his eyes went wide,

"What? Woah, no, no, no, in that case I think diving off the roof face first is a better option."

"My dad is not going to see you, either is my mom." I reassured him.

"How do you know?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"They're probably both still in the kitchen, cleaning up."

"You sure?" He asked.

"I'm sure." I laughed.

"Well then lead the way." Harry smirked.

I took his and and lead him down the hallway, his feet moving in sync with mine so it only sounded like one person instead of two. Once we were down the stairs and right at the front door my father's voice rang through the house,

"Harley? Harley are you out there?" He asked, his mumbled voice coming from inside of the kitchen.

"We need to talk." He finished and I could hear footsteps headed our way.

"You need to hide." I called to Harry.

"But the door is right-"

"You need to hide! You'll never make it out without being caught." I cut in.

Without another word Harry dove behind the arm chair that was out of both me and my father's sight.

"Harley, oh there you are." My father called, his eyes finding mine as he made his way out of the kitchen.

"About what?" I asked, trying my best to act innocent.

"You know what." He mumbled.

"Harry?" I asked.

"He's no good for you Harley, even if you do share the same pendant."

"But you just met him, you didn't even get to know him." I defended.

My father raised an eyebrow,

"Do you even know him?" He asked.

"Well, n-no, not really but I'm working on it." I whispered.

My father narrowed him eyes,

"Has he done anything bad in the past you might happen to know about that you aren't telling me? he asked.

"No." I shrugged, simply lying through my teeth.

"And how many tattoos does the boy need? And those piercings, he could've at least taken them out for the night."

I furrowed my eyebrows,

"Why should he of? If he wants to have piercings he can have piercings."

"And that cocky little attitude of his, if I-"

I interrupted my father mid sentence,

"You had no right to kick him out."

"He was being disrespectful, I had every right to kick him out."

"You couldn't just be easy on him like mom said?" I started to yell, and I knew my father was never one that liked to see me upset.

He ran a hand over his face out of pure frustration,

"Can you just promise me that you'll try to stay away from him?" He practically pleaded.

I bit on the inside of my cheek before shaking my head,

"I'm not promising you anything."

I watched as my father's lip twitched before he whispered,

"If you know what is good for you, you will stay away from him."

With that he turned on his heel and walked away, the sound of his footsteps heading towards the kitchen became fainter and fainter. I heard Harry rustle behind the arm chair before his eyes came into view, along with his fedora.

"Is he gone?" He asked.

"Yeah." I whispered.

Harry got up off of his knees and brushed his jeans off. His eyes once again locked with mine before he headed in my direction. Once he reached the door he turned back around to face me,

"Thank you." He nodded.

"What for?" I asked.

He absentmindedly took his lip between his teeth,

"For believing in me."

And with that he was out the door.
