After lunch was over Harry walked me to World History. We didn't do much in class, once again it felt like hours until the bell rang, finally signaling the end of the day.

Harry met me by the door, his book bag slung loosely over his shoulder as he leaned against the door frame. Once he saw me he smiled. He had a pair of black rimmed Ray Bans pulled over his eyes, blocking me from seeing his rather bright green irises.

Once we started walking towards the exit he spoke up,

"So are you going to the mall immediately after we get out of here?"

"Yeah, pretty much. We'll just grab something at the food court for dinner.

Harry simply nodded along with a quick swipe of his tongue over his lips.

One we found his car he did the same thing he did yesterday; he opened the door for me. I mumbled a "thank you", before he shut the door. I pulled the seat belt over my chest as Harry ran over to the drivers seat, him too buckling up.

"Is your dad going to be home again?" Harry asked as he backed out of the parking lot and drove off of the school grounds. Even though I couldn't see his eyebrows trough his sunglasses I could tell he was secretly looking at me from the corner of his eye.

"No, at least I don't think so." I answered.

"Good, because if he saw me dropping you off he- well, I don't know what he'd do." Harry laughed.

I shook my head,

"I would make sure he did nothing. You did absolutely nothing wrong."

"Why didn't you tell him that I went to jail?" Harry asked, his question catching me off guard.

"He doesn't need to know." I shrugged.

"At least not yet."

I watched as Harry rubbed a hand over his mouth,

"But you're saying that I did nothing wrong when I did."

"In your past. In your past you did something wrong. I'm talking about just yesterday."

He remained silence for the rest of the car ride and so did I, not exactly sure of what to say.

Once we pulled up to my house I noticed my fathers car was indeed, parked in the driveway. I curse under my breath before I reached for the handle. I stopped when I felt Harry's hand on my other arm.

"If you need anything, just call." He whispered.

I turned my head around to give him a nod and a small reassuring smile but almost went into shock when I can face to face with Harry. He leaned in and just when I though he was about to kiss my lips, he pecked the tip of my nose.

"Goodnight Harley." He nodded.

"Goodnight Harry." I nodded back as I pried the door open and stumbled out of the car. I could still feel the heat in my cheeks as I stepped through the front door.

My father was just standing there, his arms folded over his chest.

After an uncomfortable silence he cleared his throat,

"The school called."

I decided to play dumb,

"About what?" I asked.

He raised an eyebrow,

"About what?" he mimicked.

"You skipped a class."

I opened my mouth to speak but was cut off,

"Were you that boy?" He asked, his eyes narrowing at me.

I felt my jaw tighten,

"Harry. His name is Harry. And yes I was."

I watched his eye twitch,

"Go up to your room now. Don't come down until dinners ready."

"But Layla and Anna were supposed to pick me up to go to the mall in like, twenty minutes." I stammered.

My father shook his head,

"Maybe you should of thought about the consequences before you decided to skip. And I hope you like detention, because you have it Monday after school."

"But-"

"Room. Now." My father growled.

I quickly slipped past my father and made my way up to my room, once inside, making a point to slam the door extra loud.

I took my phone out of my pocket and decided to call Layla to cancel our plans.

Thankfully she picked up,

"Ready for the mall?" She squealed into the receiver.

"Actually um, I'll have to take another rain check." I mumbled.

"But why?" Layla whined.

"Long story." I muttered.

"Whatever you say, how's Friday sound?" She asked, thankfully not pushing me any further for a more descriptive answer.

"Sounds good. Can you call Anna and tell her for me?" I asked.

"Yeah, of course. I'll text you later, yeah?"

"Yeah sure."

After a pause I just had to ask,
"
Why weren't you guys at lunch today?"

"Me and Anna had to help our first period teacher with something, sorry we didn't tell you."

"It's fine, I had Harry."

"How are things between you two?" she asked.

"I honestly don't know to tell
you the truth."

"Are you into him?" She asked.

"He's sweet." I shrugged.

"That's not answering my question."
Layla sassed.

"Good bye Layla." I sing-songed into the phone.

Layla laughed,

"Bye Harley."

Once I ended the call I let my back fall down onto my bed, my fingers absentmindedly finding Harry's number. It only rang twice before he picked up,

He was the first to speak up,

"Hey Harley."

"My father found out about us skipping." I spoke in a rushed sentence.

"How?' He asked.

"The school called. We have detention on Saturday."

"That's all?" He sounded surprised.

"Thankfully." I mumbled.

"Are you at the mall?" He asked.

"Nope. I'm stuck in my room all night, dad's orders."

"But that doesn't mean your night has to be over."

I raised an unseen eyebrow,

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I'll be over in ten minutes."

"But I-"

Before I could protest he ended the call. I tried calling him three times, all attempts unsuccessful.

Just when I was about to try a fourth I heard a tapping at the window behind me. I tuned my head to see pebble after pebble bouncing off of the glass. I couldn't keep from smiling as I saw Harry looking back at me.

He immediately stopped throwing and instead used his hand to wave at me. I pushed the window and stuck my head out,

"What are you doing here?' I laughed.

"I figured you'd like the company." He smiled back.

"There's no way you're going to get up here." I spoke.

"If I got up here before I can surely do it again."

"Fine. Then show me." I shrugged.

I watched him back up to get a running start. His feet moving fairly quick as he reached the ledge of the roof. His hands grabbed it forcefully as he started pulling himself up.

Just as his curls peeked and his eyes met mine his fingers slipped. He fell onto his back, his eyes shutting as he winced in pain.

He quickly recovered though, as he quickly shot back up to his feet. He tried again, this time using all of his strength to pull himself up. Once he did, he rolled his body onto the roof and slipped passed me through the window. He landed on my bed with a thud and he laughed.

"Smooth, huh?" He joked.

I couldn't help but laugh with him,

"Like butter."

"So I guess you were right about the security cameras then?" Harry asked, changing the subject.

"Yeah, they caught us going into the library and leaving fifty minutes later." I explained.

"And detention on Monday? Of all days?" He asked, crinkling up his nose.

"Yeah, all thanks to you." I smiled, playfully hitting his arm.

"Oh quit it, at least we'll have each other." He spoke, playfully hitting me back.

"Yeah, I guess."
