Bless Me

Please someone bless me here, I will insist,
While waiting to feel blessings fall like snowflakes
On outstretched arms, both naked to my wrists,
I've covered up each fist, I'm wrapped in tape

And gauze on each hand, covered in a glove
That really is a mitt. My back's bare, f'real
Save for the cross and burden that I lug
That you see, and you feel and feel and feel.

I'm jealous of your feeling ways, just oh
How easily you know what feeling feels like.
These snowflakes fall, and touch me as they go.
They're small, each little, tiny, crunchy spike

And they make me feel all alone, alone
While I await your company, I groan.
