Maybe It's Me

How would you know if he's homeless?

A lady in the coffee shop cussed him out
A man gently intervened and asked him to leave
He left with two drinks, weeping
I prayed with him in the parking lot

He said
I've worked every day of my life
I've worked for forty-three years
I worked at six o'clock this morning
Construction
I spent three hundred dollars on my brother today
My friend lets me work every day
He pays me every day, he's a good man
I have an apartment

Can you help me out
I just need a little bit of money

I can't give you any money
You need peace and you need a blessing
Peace be with you
Bless you

Jesus wept

Are you a Christian
You have Jesus eyes

A security guard escorted him off the parking lot

And now and for ever, all saints everywhere,
Pray for this man
And for the least of this kingdom

He was dirty
He couldn't stop drooling
He held my hand
In weeping and in prayer
He told me about the book of Revelation
"His eyes are like fire"

Why can't I explain this man to God's people
Maybe it's me
Maybe I've never really tried
Maybe I still need to #takethegospeltothechurches
