Taking verses out of context

People take verses out of context all the time, and this is not an acceptable thing to do. There was this false teacher at the church I used to go to and he would do this a lot along with falsely interpreting the Bible what I mean by this is basically taking a verse and twisting its meaning so much that you can't even tell what verse it was to begin with. Back on the 1st subject though people commonly do this with verses that talk about not judging people but if you actually read the context it would be clear that they are not saying that. I've heard a quote (I don't know who its by) that says something like the worst thing they ever did was divide the Bible into books chapters and verses because that instantly leads to people taking things out of context.
