When I look into your eyes.
I see the man you never were,
The one I knew has disappeared.
Gone. Banished from you.
Lost to history
As the day turns to night
And ice turns to lava.
You're not the knight I once knew.
We're standing at a point of no return.
And though I see your face
It does not belong to you.
It's been contorted by the lava,
And turned into something new.
I know deep down inside
I cannot follow you,
Can't take the path to darkness eternal.
Your eyes. Your demon eyes.
Your smirk that doesn't belong
On the man I knew I once loved.
Anakin where have you gone?
Down a path to the lava's edge,
Down a path I cannot follow,
For the risk of you burning me...
You're already breaking my heart.
It's a hopeless battle.
A fight I cannot fight.
Not now. Not here.
Not in my living years.
I cannot turn fire into ice.
Somehow I know my children can,
And our best chance is to let them breathe,
Instead of hiding beneath a burning mask.
