Star Wars Poems
DESCENT

Your fire burned so bright
In your eyes I saw tomorrow.
Yet the fiercest of lights
Can cast the darkest shadow.

DESPAIR

His face is scarred from years unlived.
The ghost of a life long gone shadows his steps.
Burning is a sort of penance, is it not?
The rage of the skies sets fire to his bones
And he smiles, even as he chokes
On the ashes clogging his throat.
The flames that consumed twenty five millennia
Have come to rest within the one who lit the torch.
The screams echo in the quiet night.
They rip his throat with the fury of lost love.
Failure, that bedfellow of a lifetime has returned.
This time, he knows, it will not release its embrace.

DESTINY

The stars dancing in their veins
Burning skies, bleeding loss.
The wreckage of worlds written on their skin
And blazing hope that can conquer reigns.
