The Search For Tomorrow

I searched for Tomorrow
With the company of Sorrow
But as the days stretched on
I found she had no hope for me to borrow.

So I went to the next village
Where there dwelled Courage
And though she made me brave
She was quite short on knowledge.

I then asked Wisdom to come with me
She said, "I will bring honor unto thee,"
But when I faced bigger enemies than I
She always told me to flee.

Then Anger clung to my arm
And fooled me with her charm
She served as fuel to my fire,
Which in the end led me to harm.

As I slowly fell
In my self-dug little well
I was then approached by a man
Whom the others called Angel.

"Tomorrow," he had said,
"Is but a worry in your head.
It need not too much thought
For in time its skin of secrets will be shed.

So let Tomorrow solve itself,
Return its mysteries to the shelf;
Then pray that the holy Father above
Extends His sure and mighty help."
