It has been sososososo long since I have updated literally anything on here! Its been like what, a few weeks?!
Anyway, I'm back, and with a new makeup tutorial! Just as a disclaimer, this look can be made using latex or gelatin, but since I'm cheap and don't have time buy it, I am using a method that will be explained later on.
This look is mainly Valentines Day themed (yes I know I'm like super late) and if you have any questions let me know!
1. To start, I applied basic foundation on my face and settled it with powder. I also put on a wig cap which can be made with fishnet stockings if you don't have one. I also did my brows but thats completely optional.
2. Now its time to work on the eyes! I used a light red shadow on the lid, and transitioned to a medium pink/purple shade on my crease. I then blended the two colors with a smudge brush.
After the shadow, I lined my waterline with black eyeliner (wings are also optional) and I applied black mascara on both lashes.
3. Then I put on a regular red lipstick, making sure to emphasize my cupids bow, and put a pink gloss over the lips sparingly.
4. This is where the look gets interesting. Using a sponge, cut it into the shape of a heart and use your forehead to decide how big you want the shape to be. Then paint one side with red cream paint and stamp it to your forehead. This will act as a reference for the following steps.
5. Now, we are going to be applying a material around the shape that would act like a gelatin or latex based substance. Instead, we will be using a peel-off face mask, which is normally used to exfoliate the face. These can be found at a Walmart or Publix, depending on where you live. Because it peels off, it can be taken off fairly easily and it can be applied in layers, similar to gelatin. I would reccomend the green tea one, as it dries clear.
Using a spatula or detail brush, apply the first layer around the shape, outlining it roughly so it looks cut out and realistic. As the layer dries, keep adding and adjusting as you go.
6. Once you have enough layers, use either a toothpick or a kebab skewer to move it around and make it look deeper.
Once you get it to the desired shape, lightly powder it and use shades of red and brown along the outside to make the cut look irritated.
7. Fill in the hole with dark red body paint and add shadows/color with black and brown paint or powder. Then fill in the space with fake blood.
8. Final product...
