Day at the beach

Shinji's p.o.v

It's been a few days since the whole beating. And I've healed finally. It was a wonderful warm day. Lucy laid at my legs while we sat outside. Lotus told me it was around 90° out. I just sat on the porch thinking. I did not have my shades on and I stared blindly out at the vast land of darkness. I could hear the wind blowing the branches of the trees. I could hear the birds chirping and flying around in the sky. I smiled breathing in the summer air. It felt nice to just sit and relax. "Hay Shinji?" Lotus called out.

"Yes?" I said not breaking my gaze in the vast darkness I could see. "Hay I was thinking. Since I have the day off. We can all go to the beach." Lotus Said. "Ok." I said smiling. "Lets go then." Lotus said. I nodded and got up walking to my room to get my swim suit. I closed my bedroom door and grabbed the things in needed. I then walked out with a small bag that had my swim suit a towel and a few toys for Lucy. "Come on Shinji. Here I got Lucy on her leash." Lotus said handing my Lucy's leash. "Don't forget me." Jasper said.

I heard her walk over behind me and I smiled looking back at her. "Well since we're all here let's go." Lotus said. I nodded and we made our way to the beach. As we walked I listened to everything around me. I kept my shades off for now because I did not know if I should forget about caring if people know I'm blind. Once we made it to the beach I felt the sand on my feet. "Come on the area to change is over here." Lotus said as she helped me to the changing tent. I walked into one that was empty and closed the tent door

Jasper's p.o.v

I used my magic to change my outfit. Lucy sat infront of the tent that Shinji was in waiting for her. I did the same but I was not sitting. When Shinji walked out if the tent I could not help but blush. She looked beautiful. She wore a two peace suit. Both of them a white leopard pattern. Shinji smiled and Lotus walked out if her tent wearing a single peace that was black with a purple flower pattern. "You look nice in your swim suit Jasper." Lotus said. "Thanks." I said. I looked at Shinji and smiled at her.

"Come on lets find somewhere to put the beach towel and things down." Lotus said. "Alright." Shinji said. We all walked on the beach and set everything up. Lotus held a strange board with. It was white withe yellow and orange birds flying up with purple butterfly surrounding the birds. "I'm going to do some surfing. I'll be back later." Lotus said running to the water as it moved in large waves. Shinji held a bottle and sighed. "What's wrong?" I asked. "I need sunblock on but I can't tell if I have the right bottle." Shinji said.

I took the bottle from her and read sunblock for the label. "Thanks." Shinji said with a smile as I handed her the bottle. She started to rub it on her body with a small smile. "Um Jasper could you help me put the sunblock on my back?" Shinji asked. "Um..... Sure." I said. I took the sunblock and started to rub it on her back. Lucy had a bone in her mouth as she laid on the towel and chowed on it. When I was done Shinji stretched and looked blankly at the ocean. Her faded light blue eyes seemed to show a small bit of sadness.

"Jasper........ What does the ocean look like?" Shinji asked as she leaned on me. "Umm......" I said trying to think of what to say. "Well. It's big... The color blue sometimes a white color. There's a bunch of colorful ocean creatures deep down in the water. And well...... I don't know what else to say." I said. Shinji looked down still looking a little sad. "Can you...... Tell me about where you come from?" Shinji asked her hands feeling over her broken visors. "Well..... Lets just say. There's not as much freedom or much of anything like there is here on Earth." I said.

"Have you ever seen the stars up close before?" Shinji asked. "Well yes. Some other Jasper's on Homeworld. The planet I come from. Have a power to destroy supernovas so they done explode close to Homeworld....... I can do the same thing but I rarely use that power." I said putting as arm on Shinji's side. Shinji leaned on me and closed her eyes. "Well what about you?" I asked. "Well to me..... Since I can't see them I can hear them. I can hear them twinkling at night. Like....... I don't know. I could just hear them.

Like there were a bunch of little creatures on them making so much noise that I could hear them." Shinji said sighing. "Really? I never heard a star make noise like that." I said. "Well that's all you can do if you can't see.......... Like.... How I love hearing your voice........ But how I hate not being about to see what you look like....... *sigh* it..... It hurts. To not see. To fear everything since you..... Since you don't know what's going to happen." Shinji said frowning. "Hay. Don't be sad. I don't care if you can't see me.

All I care about is knowing that you are just you. And no one stops you from being the human you are." I said with a smirk. Shinji smiled and nuzzled into my side a little. I smiled at Shinji and turned my head as someone ran over. It was Steven. "Jasper! Shinji! It's great to see you!" Steven shouted a he ran over. Lucy's head went up as she looked at Steven. "Steven get back here!" Pearl shouted a she ran after him. Shinji kept her head down as her fingers traced over her visors. "Hay Shinji you ok?" Steven asked walking over to Shinji.

"Hmmm? Ho ya I'm... I'm fine." Shinji said. "What's with your eyes?" Steven asked. "Steven don't be rude. Hello Jasper. Shinji." Pearl said bowing her head a little as she greeted us. "But Pearl. Look at Shinji's eyes. There so faded out." Steven said getting a little closer to Shinji. "Steven I'm fine........ Just...... Just don't worry about me." Shinji said giving a small smile hoping to make Steven not worry so much. "Well maybe I can help. Pleeeeeesa!" Steven said with a smile. "Steven....... *sigh* fine.... But I swear you don't need to help me." Shinji said.

"Ok." Steven said smiling. "You see Steven. I'm blind. You know can't see." Shinji said. "Really? Well your eyes are cool. Like Garnet's!" Steven said with a smile. "Steven. Lets go." Pearl said. "Awwww. But I want to have a beach summer fun time with them." Steven wined. "Maybe when Lapis comes back from the mission she's on." Pearl said. Steven's eyes had stars form in them as he nodded. "Ok." Steven said walking over to Pearl and they both walked away. After sometime I watched Lotus surf.

"Hay Jasper." Shinji said. "Hmmm?" I said and looked down at her. "Lotus told me this morning that she got a job at the hospital. She's always wanted to be a nurse." Shinji said with a smile. "Ok and?" I asked. "Lotus is going to start her job tonight. And she'll be taking Lucy to the Vet to make sure that her pups are doing fine." Shinji explained as she petted Lucy. "Ho...... So we'll in your house alone?" I asked with a smirk. "Yes. I just thought you wanted to know." Shinji said. I smirked and picked Shinji up and sat he in my lap.

"Alright. It will be nice for use to have some....... Alone time~" I purred in Shinji's ear. Shinji started to blush hard as I said that. I smirked and Shinji laid back on my chest. I thought about tonight liking the idea of use being alone.
