Chapter One
It's almost been a century since I've walked, since I've spoken. Everything that held meaning to me was taken from me the very day I was daggered in Chicago 1922. I had a run in with my older siblings, Niklaus and Rebekah.
It's also when I ran into the man I love, the man I hadn't seen for almost 30 years. The moment that Nik realized that he knew me, he compelled him to forget me. And in my moment of weakness, I was stabbed in the back, literally.
That was until today, when I awoke in a coffin surrounded my by other dearest siblings.
"Theresa." Elijah spoke in awe, taking a step closer to me. I stepped out of the coffin slowly, unsure of what I should say or do. Rebekah was the first to move, pushing past Elijah to come towards me. Her arms wrapped around me and I couldn't help but smile, hugging her back.
"Where is he?" I asked, my voice demanding as I pulled away from my sister. Anger flowed through my veins as I looked around, I was about to storm out of the room when suddenly Elijah appeared in front of me.
"He's in the house, Theresa. In a minute, we will all go out to confront our brother." Elijah stated boldly. I took in a deep breath, nodding slightly, calming myself down for the moment.
"If it isn't baby Tessa." A voice cooed from behind me. I turned around quickly, a smile breaking out onto my face as I realized who was speaking. I laughed quietly, running towards him to wrap my arms around his neck.
"Kol, my dear brother, it's been quite a while since I've last seen you." I spoke softly, once again grinning as I ran a hand through his messy hair.
"Well Niklaus has left me to rot in a coffin for almost a century, but then again I heard that so were you." Kol snarled at the mention of our older brother. Before I could respond, someone behind me cleared their throat. Elijah stood beside another man, who seemed slightly familiar. My eyes widen once I realized who it was.
