Letting out a tiny yawn as your mother put you in bed. Sparring with Sasuke really tired you out. No doubt he's gotten stronger in the two years you've known him but he still was no match for you yet.

Setting a hand over your forehead, your mother smiled at you. "Get some sleep tonight sweetie."

"Mother?" You called out as she was about to leave.

"Yes dear?"

"Why do I have a different color mark than the rest of the clan?" Your mother froze.

"What do you mean (Y/n)? Where did that come from?" She said as she tried to hold a smile.

You sat up from bed, looking down. "Well, the other clan mates children were making fun of me today. They said... Some awful things to me..."

Your mother sighed as she made her way back to you and sat on the edge of your bed. "What did they say?"

"... They called me a freak..."

"... You're not a freak (Y/n)-"

"Then why do they say that to me? Why does the clan elders glare at me when I walk in the compound?" Your fist clenched the fabric that covered you.

Your mother sighed, "We never wanted to tell you this. We wanted you to live life without thinking ill of us or yourself..."

"Huh!? What do you mean?"

"(Y/n), do you remember the tale of the wolf spirit, Kage?"

"Yeah, of course I do! The Kage is a wolf that watched over the first Ōkamizoku clan members but... Was corrupted by a powerful person and became a demon of death rather than the protector of life."

"Yes, you know the story well I see." Your mother nodded. "Did you know he was also the reason we call our leaders Kage."

"What! Really!?"

"That's so cool but... What does the Kage have to do with me?"

"Didn't you get another jewel?"

"We could not, you see the Wolves Jewel of Sealing cannot be man-made, only the Kage could create it."

"Oh....... Well then, how did they seal the Kage?"

"... They, uh... They... Sealed it inside a human... A newborn! A little baby girl..." Your mother quietly wept. "T-they sealed the demon Kage into such a strong and caring girl... There was no other way to seal it... I tried to tell them not to, I fought, I screamed... B-but they didn't care... They didn't care that they ruined her life!" Your mother's body was shaking as she held herself and she cried.

"M-mom, I-I don't understand. What do you mean they sealed the Kage inside a baby...?"

Your mother turned to you and hugged you tightly. "It's you (Y/n)...! T-They sealed the Kage inside y-you..."
