*Austin's POV*

I waited at the boardwalk for Astley. I paced back and forth. She was about 10 minutes late. What if she wasn't coming?

"Austin!"

I let out a sigh of relief as she came running up the boardwalk. She was wearing short shorts and a jean jacket that was open, revealing the top half of her blue bikini.

"I'm late. I'm so sorry." she said. "Ally's piano lesson ran late and there was a lot of customers at Sonic Boom. I've been running late a lot lately-"

"Astley!" I laughed, trying to catch her attention. She looked up at me. "You're rambling. Besides, it's okay! I understand. I'm late a lot, too. Let's just go to the beach."

"Okay."

We walked down the boardwalk and onto the beach. There was a lot of people there. We found a spot to set down our towels. I yanked off my shirt and threw it to the side. Astley took off her jean jacket and her shorts and put them in her beach bag. I couldn't help but stare at her for a moment. She was beautiful.

"Hello? Earth to Austin. You okay there?" she said. I quickly snapped out of my trance and shook my head. Astley chuckled. "Like what you see?"

"How can I not? You're beautiful." I blurted. Astley giggled and turned bright pink. "Let's go surfing, shall we?"

"Let's go!"

We grabbed two boards and headed out onto the water. I showed Astley how to paddle out into the water and once we got far enough out, we sat up on our boards and waited for the perfect wave.

"How do you know when there's a good wave?" she asked.

"You just know. Trust me." I replied. "So, why have I never met you before Astley? I mean, I assume we go to the same school."

"We do. We just never really crossed paths." Astley shrugged. "I did bump into you once in the hall, but I didn't really say anything to you."

"I think I remember that." I said, thinking back to the day when a little red head (literally red. Like, Ariana Grande red) ran into me in the halls. She mumbled an apology and kept walking. If only I knew that was Astley.

"I was a bit awkward, I know." Astley said. "And it's not because your famous, because like I said, I didn't know you were famous until I actually met you. But I was awkward in general."

"I think it's cute that you were shy."

Astley smiled to herself. I smiled, too. I loved to make her smile. Her smile was beautiful.

"I see a wave." Astley said, bouncing on her board. "Can I try to surf it?"

"It's up to you. You remember what I told you though, right?"

"All good. Watch me shred this wave."

Astley paddled her way to the wave. It was medium sized, perfect for a beginner. She paddled and paddled till she was on the wave. Astley gained her balance and stood up on the board and began to surf!

"YOU'RE DOING IT ASTLEY! YOU'RE SURFING!" I exclaimed. "GO ASTLEY! WOOHOO!"

I heard her call "WOOHOO" back and I chuckled to myself. She really was shredding that wave! Pretty good for a beginner if I do say so myself.

I seen the wave go over Astley and the next thing I knew, she was gone. I waited for her to resurface, but she didn't. After about 5 minutes, I started to panic. I jumped off my board and into the water.

I seen the broken pieces of Astley's board floating to the top of the water as I swam. Then I noticed Astley. The top of her bikini was caught under a rock, causing her to be stuck! I quickly swam to her and attempted to pull her free.

Nope. She was stuck good.

I had to untie her bikini top. Being the gentleman I am, I didn't look at her. I just held her close and swam back to the surface and back to shore, taking my board with me.

A crowd had now gathered around the shore, watching as I brought Astley in. I laid her on the sand.

"She's unconcious!" someone stated.

"Don't worry. I know CPR." I said.

Lucky for me, I really did. I learned it in school. Wow. I actually learned something in school. That's new.

I did the CPR, and mouth to mouth. Finally, Astley coughed up water and opened her eyes.

"Austin?" she asked. "W-what happened?"

"Oh my god! You're okay!" I said and quickly hugged her. Then I realized she was sorta topless. "Can we get a towel please?"

"What happened? I remember surfing and then-and then I-"

"You wiped out." I told her, wrapping the towel someone gave me around her upper half. "But you're okay now. Come on, let's go sit for a while. Give you a second to recover."

I helped her up and over to our things and we sat down.

"Thanks for saving me, Austin." she said. "You're so nice."

I smiled at her. Suddenly, I found myself leaning in. Astley leaned forward as well, holding on to the towel around her. And then, our lips touched. It was amazing. I felt sparks. I was so lost in the kiss, I missed the quick flash.

Astley pulled away first.

"We should go. I sorta need a shirt considering my bikini top is...you know...at the bottom of the ocean somewhere." she said.

"What? Oh, yeah! You can come over to my house. My parents aren't home, so you can stay over if you want." I said.

"Thanks so much, Austin. But no funny business." she warned. I chuckled.

"No funny business."
