I'm sitting at the cafeteria table with Penny. I'm trying to The explain to her about Baz, he's been disappearing lately. I need to find out what he does when he's not around me. Baz is too perfect to be a human. It's not possible for anybody to be as perfect as him and still be good. It wouldn't be fair. I'm almost 100% sure he is a vampire. (Either that or he's one of those numpities)He has pearly white skin, he has a widows peak, like literally, an old fashioned Dracula widows peak, he is also inhumanly handsome...
"Simon, you were saying?" Penny says breaking me out of my thoughts.
"Oh, right, anyway, he's been going down in the catacombs lately, can you come help me investigate?" I ask her innocently. She changed her hair to bright blue, I like it, It suits her.
"You want me to help you stalk Baz in the catacombs?" Penny asks suspiciously, it sounds like she thinks I'm joking, which I am not. I never joke about Baz. He is an evil plotting machine that tried to kill me last year.
" Investigate! Not stalk." I protest. Penny ignores me. After taking another bite of my scone my eyes wander over to the door. Baz walks in. The same smug sneer on his face as always.
"Good morning Snow." He says as he walks behind me. I roll my eyes and turn around.
"Piss off." I say as I kick him in the shins. Baz was about to walk away but them comes back. Baz pulls my chair out from the table and bends down to get on my level.
"Use your words Simon." He says, I flash back to that day in the Mages office. Everyone yelling at me to use my words. I would rather punch first. Using my fists is faster and more efficient.
Baz had no right say what he just said. How did he even know about that meeting?
I stand up, Baz towers over me by quite a bit but I am not afraid of him. He studies me, he's looking into my eyes. He's probably trying to intimidate me. I get out my wand.
Penny nudges me,
"Simon, fighting isn't the answer, besides he's not worth it."
"Fighting is always the answer" I say, I emphasize the always.
Penny shrugs and walks away
"What are you going to do?" Baz spits, some of it lands on my cheek. He's still sneering. Baz looks me up and down again. He looks disgusted.
"F**k off, Baz. Leave me alone."
"No Snow, I'm not letting you go this time." Baz says. Someone in his pose snickers, which only makes me angrier. "Don't be a coward Snow. Use your words." He says slowly, he's pronouncing each syllable. Like I'm a child. He studies me, his face still plastered into a sneer. He's looking into my eyes. Probably thinking about how to kill me. Finally I snap.
"Shut up!" I yell. I shove Baz into a chair. Hard. He shoves me back. Harder. He is quite a bit stronger than me and I go flying. Right into a table. Scones fall over my head.
."Use your words Snow." He says walking over to me. He standing over top of me now. He's looking me up and down disgusted. "Pathetic, Snow. You are so weak." He whispers so only I can hear.
"Shut up!" I yell louder. How dare he! He has no right to say anything to me.
The shoving match continues until I punch Baz square in the jaw, and of course right after the Mage walks in.
Once we are both seated in his office, Baz and I immediately look at each other. He narrows his eyes, I mimick him and do the same.
"Insufferable prat" Baz whispers.
"This never would happened if you hadn't been a bloody git." I whisper back.
Then the Mage walks in. He doesn't even have to say anything.
"It's his fault!" We yell in unison. I hate Baz, I hate is perfect, rich, handsome, vampire guts.
