"You'll stay at mine tonight, right?" Sergio asked as we sat in his dark Range Rover, somewhere in Madrid driving home from Iker's team dinner.

"Um... I guess?" Of course I wanted to stay at Sergio's, it was just that everything had gotten all serious all of a sudden. We were acting like a couple even though nothing was confirmed yet, Sergio was treating me like his girlfriend but until the words left his mouth I wouldn't get ahead of myself because I didn't want to be disappointed when it all ended.

The sky outside was pitch black, the only light coming from the small moon behind us, the headlights of Sergio's car and the dim streetlights that lit the quiet, lonely streets. Inside the car, a small amount light was provided by the car's dashboard, but still, I couldn't see a thing, but I stared at Sergio nonetheless.

I hadn't taken in his appearance earlier, on account of me being all nervous and on the edge of heart failure. He looked really good. His hair was styled beautifully, not too much gel like it used to have. His skin was flawless. I suppose it had to be for him to do that Nivea advert with a few of his teammates. His deep brown eyes were not as round as they usually were, they weren't as wide-probably because he seemed quite tired.

He had on this white tshirt with a random design on the front, nothing special but it still looked good as it strained across his pecs and biceps. Showing off his delicious body and making the butterflies in the pit of belly flutter a little. His accessories were at the minimum, the only one was a expensive looking silver watch on his right wrist that still shone in the dim light.

"You've been really quiet ever since you spoke to Carol" Sergio observed, looking at me briefly before turning back to watch the road.

"I'm just thinking" I told him truthfully.

"What did she say?" He asked worriedly. "Did she say something bad?" There was a weird tone to his voice, like he was nervous.

"Nothing. She told me absolutely nothing about you" I was such a terrible liar it was almost painful to my own ears.

Sergio just sighed. "I swear that woman spills information like a goddamn Wikipedia page" He pulled one of his hands through his hair roughly. "What did she tell you to get you so worried?"

"She said..." I was looking at the road now, unable to look at him. "She said I'm the first girl you ever took to a team dinner."

"Uh huh" We were pulling into our street now, only seconds later and we were parked on the drive outside of his house. Only then- after turning to face me- did he finally speak again. "And this worries you because...?"

"Because I've known you for a week." I still wasn't looking at him. "And over these last few days I managed to convince myself that you do this with girls all the time, I wouldn't allow myself to think that I'm special because I didn't want to be disappointed when I found out that you didn't like me as much as I liked you"

The dead silence hung between us as I stopped talking, both of us stunned at what I had just said.

"Olivia." His voice was too loud in the darkness, making the hairs on my arms stand up. "Olivia please look at me."

I tore my eyes from my lap and looked at his beautiful face. Tears were threatening to spill out as I braced myself for the rejection.

"I l..." Sergio held my face and his thumbs would occasionally sweep across my cheeks, wiping the tears that were now falling. He took a deep breath before continuing. "I like you so much more than you know. I would tell you but I know that you'd freak out because you don't know me enough yet. That's why we're going to get to know each other, from now on. I want to spend as much time with you as I can. And don't you ever tell yourself that you're not special, because you are, and I've never felt like this about a girl before."

I was well and truly stunned as I sat there in that car staring into his beautiful eyes. The eyes that told me to get rid of all doubt because he was being completely honest with me.

I didn't- couldn't- reply to him. My only answer was to smash my lips against his. Within seconds we were making out, hungrily and passionately while we still sat in his dark car.

And in what could have been seconds or hours later, Sergio pulled away.

"We should go in. You're shivering" He ran both of his palms down my bare arms to warm me up, little did he know that I was completely warm both inside and out.

We entered the house together, hand in hand and Sergio didn't turn on a single light before leading us straight upstairs towards his bedroom.

"Do you want one of my shirts to sleep in?" He asked me a few seconds later after we simultaneous realised that I had zero stuff here with me.

"If you don't mind" I answered him shyly.

A few seconds of him rummaging in his insanely big walk in wardrobe and he chucked a bright red shirt at me.

"I think you'll look good in that" He winked at me before walking into his en suite bathroom.

I unfolded it and chuckled at the sight of one of his old Spain shirts that he had given me to sleep in. I quickly stripped off my clothes before pulling it on, leaving them in a pile at the foot of his foot. I eagerly jumped onto his bed and got into the sheets, easily sinking in the comfy pillows.

Not too much longer and Sergio emerged, his shirt gone so that he stood before me in just his jeans. I shamelessly stared as he unbuckled the belt and undid the zipper before pulling them down and throwing them into a laundry basket in a corner of the room.

Now, in just his black Calvin Klein's, he finally climbed into the bed beside me stopping only to flick off the light before laying down and pulling me against his chest. He wrapped his arms tightly around me before kissing my hair softly.

I usually would never lie like this with anyone. Normally I wouldn't like it because I would feel all trapped and constrained but with Sergio, everything was different. This felt so different, almost as if it felt wrong with everyone else because I was meant to be like this with him and only him.

You want to know what it felt like? It felt like I was completely safe. It felt like no one could hurt me. I was under his warm embrace. Feeling his muscles around my waist, my body being pulled closer to his... The feeling was indescribable. In that moment, as we were sharing body heat, there wasn't a place I'd rather be or a single thought that crossed my mind that didn't involve him. As he held me close to his heart like that, is when I realised that he truly does care about me. And I need to not let it go to waste.

"Olivia?" He whispered softly into the darkness.

"Que?" I replied tiredly.

"Just promise me something?" He asked. "Que te quedarás conmigo para siempre"

"Siempre" I whispered against his forearm as I pressed my lips against it gently.

And those were the last words we uttered before we finally drifted into sleep.
