Darek flew with visions of his previous lifestyle flooding his mind's eye. He knew not where he was going; he let the darkness lead him. Between visions, he imagined he could hear the night's whispers beckoning him. Or was it only his imagination? Did the power of the darkness actually have a voice?

His life was continually changing and in good ways. He could feel the anxiety of seeing what was waiting for him around the corner. He was curious about how Mark was going to react to his latest discovery though. For Mark, it was probably bad enough to deal with him as a vampire, but how about as a homosexual bloodsucker? If Mark couldn't deal with it then he would truly have to go his own way and never turn back.

He landed not to far away from a town. He had flown an unknown distance, so he couldn't even guess. He could smell the aroma of kerosene oil lamps lingering on the faint breeze.

He walked through backyards and alleyways until he came to a main road of the small community. One look at the cobblestone road and he knew he was in Lancer.

Not really being where he wanted to, he decided to feed anyway. Maybe the pickin's good that's why vampires live here, he mused. Just for safety's sake he wanted to be on the opposite side of town from Saith Manor. He didn't want to take any unnecessary risks even though he was just by staying here.

The feeling he received from the community was calm and peaceful. It could give the appearance of a lamb, but he knew about the wolves. After walking around he spotted a rather attractive young adult male walk out from one of the quaint shops. Stealthily he moved from shadow to shadow, following his prey. He could get so close and the man didn't even notice. So close in fact that he could hear the blood pump through their passageways in his temples.

Still in the veil of the shadows, he stopped as the man did. With a brown paperbag clutched to his chest, he quickly surveyed his surroundings and darted into the nearby alley.

Darek imagined what could be in the bag and felt his porcelain skin itch at the thought of alcohol. He promised to be careful as he entered the alley also.

The alley was surprisingly clean compared to the ones back home, he observed. The man, actually, young man crept next to the wall on his journey into darkness. A few windows faced the alley, but all were dark except for one.

This one lit window is where the fellow sat beneath. Darek hid in the last of the shadows and watched.

The lamplight was bright enough to reflect the gold in the locks of the sandy haired gent. He slowly entered the other's mind so as not to disturb his current thoughts.

His name was Saul and he lived above the little shop was all Darek stole before Saul revealed what the bag contained. It was a man's pornography magazine. Darek was relieved that it wasn't alcohol.

With one hand he grabbed the magazine by its spine and shook. Out fell another into his lap. Darek's vision focused on the cover that pictured a nude man climbing out of a steaming hot tub. The vampire smiled.

He entered Saul's mind one last time to find out his age. He was just eighteen from having a birthday two days ago. A friend had secretly given him the taboo magazine for a present. They were difficult to come by in such a small town.

Darek watched as Saul stared at the cover. He could hardly see in the dim, but his eyes strained to make out the details. He traced his finders along the curves of the man's chest and down a tightly muscled leg. Then he opened the magazine and his eyes widened at another naked image.

For several minutes Darek watched the boys facial expressions as he flipped through the porno. The vampire could hear every time Saul's heart would quicken or slow. The innocent excitement of this young male stimulated Darek too.

With magazine in hand, Saul stood up and faced the window. There was no one in the room beyond. This position shed more light on the magazine. Ever so gently he moved his free hand down to the heat behind his zipper and began to caress. The pace of his heart picked up speed.

Even more slowly, he lowered his zipper to release his building pressure. A short release of air escaped his lips as his cool fingertips brushed against the shaft of his penis.

Darek leaned up against two crates stacked atop each other, next to the wall. He wasn't sure what he should do. Either enjoy the show or interrupt, were his two choices. He wasn't about to leave though.

Saul was heavily into masturbation when the sound of a garbage can lid being disturbed made him jump and come to his senses. Darek peered into the darkness to find a cat on the prowl.

For an instant his mind went back to the night of the catfight outside his house. Then Saul said, "Who's that?" He listened intently for any sound. For a moment there was nothing, only his own heavy, startled breathing.

Mysteriously a deep compassionate voice from the darkness said, "That was a cat."

"Who are you?" demanded the youth, hiding his embarrassment.

"I am just a friend," replied the voice.

Forgetting that he still held the magazine and he was exposed, he moved toward the stranger.

Darek knew that he needed to act quickly before Saul got scared and made a big commotion. He was now within arms reach. Brushing his fingers against the guy's cheek, he said, "It's okay."

Saul nodded. The magazine fell from his hand. The vampire carefully lifted Saul up onto his hips. Their hard sexes pressed against each other firmly. Saul was still bare.

Darek pivoted and sat Saul atop the crates. "Time to dream," he said as he penetrated his soft, fleshy neck. At the moment of penetration, Saul ejaculated onto the vampire's belly.

When Darek was through, he laid the sleeping one at the base of the crates and zipped up his pants. Then he left Lancer the way he arrived.

The fading light from the lone window cast the fluttering shadows around the large bat that flew in from above the alley. It landed in the shadows.

From them, a second later, a woman stepped out. "Get up Hamlet," she mocked.

Saul casually got up and brushed the dust from himself. "Was I that good?" he smiled. She only nodded as he embraced her.

Together they walked out of the alley back from whence they came.
