[Sooo since a friend of mine DESPERATELY asked for a new chapter, I decided to update even though I didn't proofread this ugh]

Patrick's POV

My eyelids flickered open in the exact moment when I touched something beside my pillow: it was a note.

Hey babe, I'm at yours to make sure that Brendon took everything, I'll be right back in a few hours <3 Petey Pie

I smiled at the heart shape he had drawn on the colored sheet and I slowly stretched my back. I felt particularly happy that morning; the sun was shining, everything was quite... it almost seemed being into a movie; even my arm hurt less than it did the previous days.

It was really sweet of Pete to go check my house; I genuinely appreciated everything he was doing for me, only God knows where I would had been without him now.

However, I wasn't that hungry, so I skipped breakfast and directly picked up my guitar to try the new song I had written for Pete; that was the last chance I had to play it alone, because I was going to sing it in front of my boyfriend next. I can't deny I was nervous, but at the same time I was sure he would like it. Though sometimes it was hard to remember the chords due to my memory issues, and I would end up putting myself down, no longer so sure to play it in front of Pete. I would certainly screw it up, I had no doubt. Sighing nervously, I started brushing my fingers with the strings and hummed the chorus.

Okay, last try, I thought taking a deep breath. This time, I was going to sing out loud.

"I've loved everything about you that hurts,

So let me see your moves,

Let me see your moves,

Lips pressed close to mine

True Blue, but the prince of any failing empire knows that

Everybody wants

Everybody wants to drive on through the night,

If it's the drive back home"

I felt loud steps come close to the door and stop abruptly. Despite the panic I was in, I told myself to keep playing.

"Things aren't the same anymore,

Some nights it gets so bad that I almost pick up the phone"

Pete's figure could be seen in the dark hall. I watched as he slowly walked towards me in astonishment.

"Trade Baby Blues, for Wide-Eyed Browns

I sleep with your old shirts

And walk through this house in your shoes

I know it's strange

It's a strange way of saying that I know I'm supposed to love you

I'm supposed to love you

I've already given up on myself twice

But the third time is the charm,

Third time is the charm

Threw caution to the wind,

But I've got a lousy arm,

And I've traced your shadows on the wall

Now I kiss them whenever I'm down, Whenever I'm down

Just kind of figured on

Not figuring myself out
