Fire and Flight [COMPLETED]

chapter two

Nathans POV

My beta, also my best friend kale barges into my office. He's bending over his knees panting out of breath.

  I'm immediately alert and up. "Angels...assassins...wings...attack."

  I let it all process in my head. "You were attacked by the winged assassins, am I correct?" He nodded then motioned me to follow him.

  I called my pack warriors to follow me as kale led us through the forest. As we got closer I could smell the scent of strawberries and coconut?

  I suddenly stopped making everyone stop to. "Do you guy's smell that, like strawberries." I licked my lips.

    They all exchanged knowing glances. "Looks like we just found our new luna." Simon, my third in command said.

  At that my ears perked up making them laugh. We continued and the scent got stronger.

    Soon we came in a clearing where the scent was the strongest, but no one was here. I furrowed my brows, until two people jumped dowm from trees.

  From the aura from around them I instantly recognized them as angels so I bowed my head slightly. They were twins, I gathered that. The boy acknowledged my bow and replied with a small smile.

    As I introduced myself the girl spoke first. I immediately looked at her and knew she was mine.

  "Mine!" I growled pressing her to a tree. I buried my face in the smooth crook of her neck. I purred softly at the sparkles erupting from my skin.

   "Shit not again!" She whispered. I don't think I was suppose to hear it but I did.

  I said something making her flinch, she pushed me away and I let out a whimper. As she was talking to her brother I couldn't help but stare.

  'Alpha your drooling' Simon snickered.

  I growled at him and wiped my chin. Soon we found ourselves running behind my sweet mate as her gorgeous brown hair tailed behind her.

  'Our new luna is hot, I wish she was my mate ' one of the Warriors said through the link.

I growled and pounced on him. I pushed my paws against his throat, he let out a whimper.

  'Don't dare speak of your luna that way, She's MY mate not yours!' I roared.

  They all bowed their heads in submission. I jumped off and sprinted back to my mate. We hid in the trees while I watched her.

  "Black Assassins!" She hissed. Her eyes turned a beautiful golden color and calebs a hazel color.

  "Winged Assassins!" The black hissed. 

They exchanged a few words with my sweet mate before I heard her scream. My wolf was immediately alert and ready to fight.

  He calmed when he set his eyes on our mate. Her and and her brother were screaming. But the odd thing, fire and ice was coming out of their mouths.

   The black assassins disintegrated into ashes. The two vampire children ran to them. They asked for a bite showing their fangs.

  I bit my tongue to suppress a growl when that demon child bit into my mates shoulder causing her to grimace.

   He licked the blood away and looked over at his sister who fell asleep in calebs arms.

  I was in a daze until some gold came in my vision. I looked up staring at my mates white and gold wings that emitted soft rays. Calebs wings were a pure white with a speck of brown.

  His wings were awesome, but it was nothing compared to my beautiful mates.

   I walked over licking her wing then putting my head on her lap. The black jeans rubbing against my head. She ran her fingers through my fur and I involuntarily purred.

  "Stay away from my sister you horny dog!" Caleb sneered causing me to growl at him. My mate stiffened before she realized what she was doing and pulled away.

  I whimpered. Whimpered? I fuckin whimpered?

   I can't believe I whimpered in front of my pack. She's affecting me already.

  "Alpha Nathan my brother and I have something to discuss with you." My delicate mate said.

    'Please don't pull away ' I said in my head. I didn't want my pack to see me like a weak alpha.

  But she did the unexpected. "I have no choice!" She snapped.

  'Very well then follow me to my pack house and we will clothed these children.'

  She nodded then spread her wings out. They had to be a eight feet long and bird like.

  Her and caleb soared to the sky with the demon children. When we got to my pack house I was greeted by the children and the delicious smell of lasagna.

   We talked to some of the children then went to my office. After telling me all that happened and why they were here I was stunned.

Some one in my pack betrayed me? It's probably that dam omega. Secretly I knew she had it out for me but I promised her parents I would take care of her. She's so ungrateful after I feed her, clothe her, and provide her with a house.

   I showed them to their rooms and Secretly gave my mate the biggest room. The children instantly fell asleep on the bunk beds.

   While in my mates room I found myself staring, taking in her beautiful features. Soon I found myself leaning forward as did her.

  She kept closed, trust me I'll get her to open. My lips moved perfectly against hers, the sparks going off intensified as I pulled her closer to me.

   She let out a moan sending a shiver down my back.  Her fingers tangling themselves in my hair, we both puller away breathless.

    "You have no idea how long I've waited for my mate." I whispered.  I heard her sigh before she looked into my eyes. The next thing she said broke my heart.

  "I'm sorry nate when this mission is over I have to back to heaven." A tear ran down my face. I turned my face away.

     She kissed it away. "Just think about it please." I said before walking out.

   Me personally I liked this chapter but it feels like it's missing something. What do you guys think?
