I arrived at Luke's house that Saturday night, waiting by the front door. The door swung open and instead of Luke or his mom, I saw Theo.

"Hey, Luke's parents aren't home and he's in the kitchen, come on in." He said, smirking at me. I stepped nervously into the house and hung my jacket on the coat hanger. Theo and I stepped into the kitchen where Luke stood in front of a boiling pot of pasta.

"Hey Blaire." Luke said, not looking up from his cooking. It didn't look like he knew what he was doing, I tried not to worry about it and sat down in one of the chairs.

"Oh we won't be eating in here." Luke said, "we can go on the porch." I looked out of the back window to see a nice looking deck with a great view of the sky. My phone vibrated in my pocket

Heyyy, wanna see a movie???

It was a text from my friend, Dani. I sighed wishing I could go hang out with her instead of working on this dumb project.

sooo wish I could, but I have to work on my geography project

Who are your partners?

Theo Rankoff and Luke Alber

Theo Rankoff? Ugh he's such a player.

Well I guess Theo has a reputation, doesn't surprise me. I texted back saying;

Yeah I got that vibe when I first met him, but I gotta go and help them work. Ugh save meeee!!!

I put my phone back in my pocket and turned back to the boys who were helping themselves to pasta. I grabbed a plate and took some pasta, then Luke lead us outside. It was a cool night and the sun was just setting, filling the sky with gorgeous pinks and oranges. Luke and Theo talked while I just sat there listening. Luke stood up abruptly when the phone rang from inside;

"I should probably get that." He mumbled and disappeared inside. Theo turned to me;

"Pretty sunset, isn't it." He said shyly, not as confident as he was before. I nodded and smiled slightly,

"So tell me about Mexico." I said the words before I could stop myself. Theo shrugged one shoulder;

"It's really pretty there, the sunsets are fantastic." He flipped his long black hair and looked at me, the orange in the sky reflecting off of his dark eyes. We sat there looking at each other for a couple of minutes when he said,

"You know, you really are pretty."

I looked down blushing and shook my head.

"What you don't think you're pretty?" He asked, I shrugged my shoulders, too shy to say anything. Luke came back outside;

"Okay guys we can go work on our project now." Luke said and led us upstairs to his room. I sat down on his spinning chair at his desk wile him and Theo sat on two of his bean bags. For the project we had to create a poster and write an essay. I took my laptop out of my bag all the while spinning in the chair.

"You better slow down, you're going to get dizzy." Theo teased and I giggled and stopped spinning. Signing into Google, I opened a blank word document and typed out a heading.

"You don't have to do that, I'll handle the typing, you and Theo can just work on the poster." Luke said, already typing away on his desktop. I agreed and flopped down on the beanbag chair next to Theo. He poked me hard in the ribs;

"Ow!" I shouted, smacking him on the arm, he laughed and pulled my hair. I glared at him but broke out laughing. I spread the poster board out on the floor and knelt down next to it. Luke threw us a box of markers and they hit Theo right in the head, causing me to burst out laughing. Theo glared at me but smiled. Suddenly he picked me up and threw me into the pile of beanbags.

"Hey!" I shouted, kicking him in the shin. I stopped myself, he's a player, I shouldn't be falling for him. I'm definitely not falling for him...yet.
