Kuroo Tetsurou // Treat You Better

Kuroo won't lie to you, Kuroo knows your boyfriend is just not right for you.

"He's the one for me." You said, reassuring Kuroo for the upteenth time with a smile plastered on your face. Yet Kuroo won't ever stop asking and checking on you, despite all of your denials.

For the first time you started your relationship with your boyfriend, his heart aches because you belong to someone other than him. He's trying his best to let go of his attachment, if that's the only way to make you happy, even though you're with some other guy.

But Kuroo knows your boyfriend is just not right for you. The moment he was just getting ready to walk you home as usual from school. Kuroo saw your tears streaming down your face, sobbing quietly to yourself in the corner of the classroom. Nobody else's around because it's already past school hours.

The second he walks in, you stopped sobbing and stare blankly at him, and quickly got back to your senses. "Oh, Kuroo. Sorry, were you waiting for me?" You slinged your bag over your shoulder and make your way towards the door. "Let's go."

On the way home, he doesn't say anything and his mind is telling him to do so. The right words won't come out through his mouth.

"Is everything alright?" He finally asked after minutes of silence. He cursed in his head, of course it is not alright. You were crying. Alone.

"Not really." You said, interrupting his train of thoughts. "He's such a jerk, sometimes." He figured it out. Your boyfriend is the culprit of all of this.

Kuroo didn't bother asking what did your boyfriend do to you to make you cry like that. He just wanted you to end it with him, stop spending all your time in this wrong situation before he beat the hell out of him. Because any girl like you deserves a gentleman. Though, you didn't end it.

He keeps wondering why are you wasting time on all your wasted crime, when you should be with him instead. Now that he doesn't need to walk you home again because your boyfriend does, he feels more apart from you.

He will stop time for you, the second you say you'd like him too. He just wanna give you the loving that you're missing. Your boyfriend couldn't give you the loving as much as Kuroo does.

This time, when Kuroo sees you with your boyfriend, both of you are in an argument. This just makes Kuroo more sure that your boyfriend is just a pain in the ass.

All he heard are shouting and curses. He's tired of it himself. When you were finally all alone, both your boyfriend and you parted ways. Kuroo caught up to you just to make sure you're okay after all those sickening arguments. He's not even pretending to play dumb that he was spying on you and your boyfriend for the upteenth time.

"Not again. Kuroo, stop spying on me." You said, as soon as Kuroo was walking beside you. "And, no. I am not okay." You said, before even he could ask you his usual question. You knew he was going to ask anyway.

"What is it again, this time?" He asked, though he knew he wouldn't get an actual answer from you. Because you always say it was no big deal, and you will make up with him soon enough. Yet he always gives it a try to ask, not demanding you to tell a geniune answer.

You inhaled and exhaled deeply. In an effort to calm yourself down after such an argument. "This asshole told me to distance myself from my precious childhood friend, Kuroo for some reasons." You explained and rolled your eyes at the thought.

Kuroo widened his eyes in disbelief. He actually got an actual explanation from you after endless arguments. And he's having a hard time to progress what was going on. Why the hell would your boyfriend demand you to distance yourself from him.

"What the actual fu- your boyfriend is an ass-"

"Ex." You stopped him midsentence. "We broke up." You said softly. Now Kuroo is having an even more hard time to progress too much things happened in such a short time without warning. Though he doesn't really care about anything anymore. The only thing he got on mind is now you've broken up with that asshole. He was happy. But at the same time, he wonders if he should be happy that you broke up, even though it's for your own good.

His train of thoughts got interrupted when he heard you sniffed. Kuroo's heart aches seeing you in this state.

Kuroo quickly embraces you into a hug and let his warmth radiates to you. You let out quiet sobs as your face is against his chest. He pats your back gently like he's trying to tell you he's here for you.

After minutes you finally stopped your sobbing and you were calmed down. Kuroo let go to check on your flushed face. He gave you a soft smile. "Better?"

You nodded slightly. "I'm sorry.." You said, "you have to get involved in my personal problems."

He shushed you from telling even more. "I'm always here for you." He said. "So, take my hand instead."

"Thank you, Kuroo." You said, holding his hand. It was quiet natural for you and him actually.

He slightly shook his head and chuckled. Though he liked holding hands with you. "No, not like that. Take my hand. Give me a chance, I promise I won't let you down." He explained.

You are unable to think clearly, and it seems like Kuroo notices. "I can wait for your answer." He stated. "Just know that you don't have to do this alone. I know I can treat you better than he can."
