"Hunter wait up!"

I pant in exhaustion as I run behind him.

Like come on, I'm smaller than him. Can't he wait up?

"Is it taking you that long to catch up?" Hunter asked me and looked at me. His tone was mixed with irritation, but at the same time he was teasing me.

"I'm not a huge wolf like you are, okay?" I yell at him, mixing that yell in with a small growl.

Hunter stopped and looked back at me. If he was on his human form, then I'm certain he would've been raising an unimpressed brow at me right now.

He padded over to me and I flattened my ears against my skull.

"Slow down." I tell him with a small irritated tone.

Hunter looked at me just a bit longer, before he let out a playful laugh. Well I'm not sure, it sounded like a laugh.

"Cute. Your fur is fluffing up." Hunter told me teasingly as his tail started to slowly wag.

"Shut up." I hiss.

I'm grateful that I'm a cat right now, if I wasn't, he would've seen me turn red in embarrassment.

"Sorry, I can't understand cat." Hunter cocked his head by a side, his tail wagging.

Which told me he was finding this amusing.

"Hunter..." I start with a hiss, I can really feel my fur sticking up like spikes.

"What?" He tilted his head, his eyes sparking with playfulness.

"Stop." I mutter out, my tail lashing side to side as my irritation grows.

"What do you mean?" Hunter asked, his tone laced with amusement. As I grumble out, he bends his front paws and has his wagging tail up.

I can't believe it-does he really act like this?

I keep my ears flattened against my skull, trying to pretend that I'm not amused but I can feel myself start to break. He does look quite cute in his playful little pose.

But he wasn't too cute when he barked at me loudly, which made me flinch backwards in alarm.

"Haha." He laughed, before going back into a normal position. "Come on, follow me and catch up this time."

He turned around and started walking away.

Grumbling, I try and figure out a way to get him back.

A small mischievous purr leaves my mouth, before I sneak up to him. Luckily he didn't realize, so I act upon my plan and jump into the air.

Flailing my paws helplessly as I couldn't control where I was going to land, but miraculously I got just where I wanted.

On Hunter's back.

"What the-what are you doing?" Hunter growled.

I tightened my grasp around him and snickered. More like purred.

"Catherine!" Hunter grumbled.

I didn't say anything, just purred, purring to tell him that I'm not getting off him.

"You're lucky that you're not Marlon." Hunter grumbled. "I would've bucked you off by now." Hunter groaned.

I chuckle slightly.
