Chapter 4

" Scarlett, I'm going to take you home and I want you to stay there till I come back and get you. Okay?" Damien said

I nodded. I was too freaked out to say anything.  What does Rosetta mean about Damien's dad? That he's ready to kill? It scared me. If his father is vicious, does that mean Damien is too? I felt a mega panic attack coming on. My hands were sweating and shaking. Damien must of noticed and held my hand to calm me down. It worked but I still couldn't help but feel uneasy about the whole situation. We pulled up to my house. It was about 6:30pm and was already pretty dark outside. When I approached the door, Damien's face was full of worry.

" I'll be back baby. Just stay here until I call you and figure out what's going on." Damien said

" Please be careful Damien" I said

I crashed my lips against his before he could saying anything. I licked his lips and he granted me an entrance. God he felt so good to kiss. I really never wanted to stop. I could make out for hours with him. Damien broke the kiss while our foreheads touch and as we breathed heavily.

" I have to go. I don't want to but I promise I'll be back for you!" He said

I could see it took all his strength to walk back to his car. I opened my front door and walked in. The room smelled heavenly of dinner. I was so hungry. I walked into the kitchen and saw my parents looking at me and boy did they look mad.

" Scarlett, sit down please" My dad said

I sat down on the wooden stool at the bar in my kitchen.

" What's going on?" I asked concerned

" Honey- My mom started to say before my dad interrupted

" How on earth could you not tell us?" My dad yelled

" Tell you what?" I said

" Scarlett I'm so utterly disappointed in you. You know that you can't do this! Damien is not one of us. He's not safe and you willingly going to his is not safe either. He could have killed you. Why did you not tell us he's a vampire?" My dad yelled getting louder

" Dad it's not like that. Damien would never hurt me" I stated

" Oh and how do you know that? You've only been hanging out with him for a few months. You don't know what vampires are capable of"

" Dad please you don't know him like I do?"

" No, that's it you're done" he yelled

" What do you mean?" I asked with so much worry on my face

" I forbid you to see him."

" Dad please no. Don't do this"

" You're only 18 and you still live in my house. I will not have my daughter out with a blood thirsty vampire and that's final. Give me your phone now"

I started to cry. I can't believe he's doing this to me. I reached my phone out of my pocket and handed it to him before running upstairs without dinner. I curled up on my bed and cried for god knows how long. I hate him for this. I cried so hard that I eventually fell asleep.

Nathan's POV:

" Nathan, why did you have to yell? You know I hate yelling in this house." Jamie said to me

" I'm sorry baby. I was just so frustrated. I can't believe she thought she could keep something so huge from us." I said

Jamie walked over to me and pulled me into a hug.

" I know. I'm very disappointed in her too but there's nothing we can do about it but try and keep her away from him." She said as she kissed me

We were interrupted by the loudness of our doorbell. God who is that at this hour? I walked over to the door and opened it. There in the doorway was Damien. My blood boiled at the fact that he thought he could just drop by my house unannounced.

" Sir, I tried calling Scarlett but it just kept going to voicemail. Is she here? He asked

" Do not ever show up here again boy. I know what you are and you're not welcomed in my house anymore and especially not near my daughter. If you show up again, you will regret it. I'm the alpha of my pack. I sure they will have no problem but to rip your limbless body to shreds." I stated

I shut the door so fast that he couldn't even say anything. My little princess will not be taken away from me. She and Jamie are everything to me. I don't care how long I have to keep Jamie away from him. He will not destroy my family.

Damien's POV:

I don't know what just happened. They are werewolves? I had no clue. Does that mean Scarlett is one? God I felt so stupid to start falling in love with a werewolf. I needed to see her. She must be so upset. I needed to comfort her. I wanted her to be in my arms. I just wanted to hold her. I walked behind her house and looked up to see the pretty pink curtains to the upstairs window. I figured would be here bedroom since she raved how much pink was her favorite color. I started to climb the vine branches as it was the easiest way to get up to her window. When I got up to the window, I knocked. Scarlett jolted up and quickly ran to the window letting me in.

" Damien, what are you doing here?" She asked pulling me into a hug

" I stopped by your house to make sure you were okay and since you didn't answer my calls. I rang the doorbell. Your dad was pretty upset that I was there but I didn't care. I needed to see you and make sure you were okay. Are you okay?" I asked

" Oh Damien I'm so happy you are here. My dad forbids me to see you." She said starting to cry

" Baby girl please don't cry." I said wiping her tears

" I can't help it. I can't not see you that would kill me" she whispered

I saw how upset she was. There must be something for me to do. There was no way I wasn't going to not see her.

" Scarlett?" I asked

Scarlett immediately looked up. Her beautiful eyes that I could get lost in forever, made me just want to take her right in her bedroom with her parents downstairs. I knew I couldn't do that though. I've never felt this way about anyone before. This love I was feeling was so real that it surprisingly didn't scare me. I knew what she was to me. She is what people call " Soulmate" she truly was. We need to be together and I'm not going to let anyone take that away.

" Scarlett, Run away with me?" I asked
