"I am proud to have delivered your healthy baby girl. What will the two of you be naming her?" A doctor smiled at the new parents.

The mother was the first to reply. "We have decided to name her..." She smiled at her husband. "___!" You cried in your mother's arms.

Your father looked down upon you, shock filling him. He had helped create this...this living thing! Mr. (your last name) could not believe that he could create such an adorable being. Pride filled his veins. "Sweetheart, may I hold ___?"

"Absolutely! She is your daughter, too." The new parents exchanged their daughter. You opened your eyes, examining the man holding you. Your eyes looked into his soul.

"I'll leave you guys alone. Make sure to follow the instructions that I have given you.

Your parents proudly cuddled you.

"Come look! ___ is about to take her first steps!" Your father rushed into the room.

You giggled as you stood up. A chubby right leg went out in front, the left one following. "Come to mummy!" The mother's arms extended out to her child. Stumbling was very common for first steps. You made it across the room to your mother!

Mother and Father looked at you with nothing but happiness. "My turn!" Your father proclaimed.

He walked across the room, farther than your previous distance. His hands picked up your favourite toy. "___, come to me!"

Gasp! He had taken your favourite toy! You would stop at nothing to get it from him. Daddy had his own toys, such as his brown box. You stood up in anger, Daddy would not take it away from you!

Your legs raced across the room, stunning your parents. Dad dropped the toy out of his hand in disbelief. You picked it up, scowling at your father. Once again, you raced away, shocking your parents twice.

"She is so intelligent..." Your father trailed.

"Just like us."

It was time for you to start school. You were either five, or six. Mum had her Polaroid camera out; they would want to remember your first day of school forever. "___, if the kids are mean to you, what do you do?"

You stood up straight, puffing your chest out, hands on your hips. "I say, 'You have no right to do that! I haven't done anything wrong to you!'"

Your father ruffled your hair. "Good girl. Remember eat the healthy stuff before desert."

"I will!"

"I'll be home when you arrive back from school." Mother smiled.

"OK!"

"Mummy! Daddy! You promise that you'll be back soon?" Your parents were invited to research ocean changes.

"We'll be back in two weeks. You'll stay at the school."

The three of you drove to what would end up becoming your home for six months. After dropping you off, your parents had a heated discussion.

"This is one of the worst orphanages in the world. Are you sure that Quillsh even has a chance of finding her here?" Your father looked your mother straight in the eyes.
