Gotta be perfect.
Percy put the ring into the center of his palm and balanced the water under his feet.
He popped his head out of the water and spotted Annabeth sitting on the beach.
Let's do this.
He bounces on his feet, shaking his head, getting hyped up.
You got this. I do? Yes, Seaweed Brain.
Annabeth's voice sounds in his head.
Percy balances on his feet, moving his hands.
He slowly rises up into his spiral.
He sees Annabeth jump up off the beach and come forward.
Percy grins.
He glides forward, thinking about what he's going to say.
Will you marry me? Will you marry me?
He glides up in front of Annabeth. She looks so beautiful, even with a messy, wet ponytail.
He stops in front of her, bending down on one knee. He flips up the ring in his palm, balancing it between his fingers.
"Annabeth Chase, will you marry me?"
Annabeth looks down at him for a moment, her gray eyes wide.
She rushes forward into him, wrapping her arms around Percy's neck.
"You ask such dumb questions, Seaweed Brain."
Percy grins. "Is that a yes?"
Annabeth rolls her eyes and kisses him.
"Yes."
