Chapter Tewnty-one~ Caught in the act

Kaylee's P.O.V.

It seemed like forever since my dad and brother left, but it had only been about two weeks. I was let back into school after only one day, but everyday there was like torture. no one spoke to us and the days seemed to go on forever. My only bright spot was Nehemiah, he was cool to talk to, a real friend to me. He came over my house everyday and played video games and watched movies with me. But the best part was that I had someone to talk to about what we were going through. None of the women of the pack were  speaking to my mother accept Mrs. Cloud, and none of the kids in school acted like we existed. My mother told me that Danielle had gotten into trouble for what she'd said, but that didn't matter to me. I felt in my heart that what she'd said was probably true and that hurt me so deeply. The way Baylon left things, I couldn't believe that they could ever be fixed. I felt that it was best just to move on with my life and try to get rid of any feelings that I may have left over for him.

It was a Saturday and me and my sister were on the porch just chillin'. She was doing some of her weird reading again. Some book about American folklore or something. I didn't see the point. I was reading also, but my book was much more interesting. I loved vampires so I enjoyed reading vampire books. My mom told me that all of that vampire stuff was just make believe. I figured if us Lycans were real, a Vampire could be just as real. They wrote books about us all the time, most of it wasn't even realistic at all. Plus Vampires were so romantic. I was engrossed in the part of the book where the woman was being followed by a tall dark handsome stranger when out of nowhere, "Hey!" He almost made me jump out of my skin! "Man Nehemiah, you scared me!" I laughed. "How is that? its broad day light and your just reading a book. As a matter of fact you guys look bored as ever." I resented that ...a little, that book was great.

"hey, what do you expect for us to be doing? Oh kaya, lets go to that pool party that we weren't invited to." I quipped. He just gave me the cutest little smirk. I smiled. "Hey tonight is the full moon, lets go run. I haven't been out and just free for awhile." As he kind of looked up at the sky, I could feel what he was feeling. There was nothing like being free and letting myself go and just running through the forest and trees. But I guess I would have to say the dessert. But at that point I would taken anything. My wolf was crying out inside and begging to go. "Well, my sister hasn't shifted yet so she can't go running, but, oh yes I would love to. But what about the others? They will be out tonight too won't they?" He walked over and sat down, then turned to me, " I wouldn't let anyone ever hurt you Kay." I was so surprised by him calling me kay. I looked at my sister and she just gave me a look of disapproval. I couldn't figure out what that was for, but at the same time I didn't care either. I was tired of being trapped in that house and she didn't know anything anyway... "I cant wait Nehemiah, come back here at about seven okay?" He stood up and started to leave then he turned and said, "Its a date then." hmmm, a date?

I got ready to go into the house to get ready, but I was stopped by kaya. "You can't do this Kaylee, You have a mate and he is coming back soon to be with you, And you know that I am right. " Come on Kaya, its just a run you are making too much of it. Plus as you know, I don't have a mate remember?" I told her "You know that isn't true Kaylee." and she walked away and went into the kitchen. I knew that she was right, she saw things that others didn't see. But really did I even want to get back with Baylon after all that he put me through? He treated me like nothing and then he thinks that he can just waltz back into my life and I am gonna take him back? I didn't even wanna think about him anymore. I was gonna go running with Nehemiah and whatever happened, happened. He was cute, His long black silky hair, and his Bronze skin.... As a matter of fact he was hot! I was gonna go and have fun for once in my life , well maybe twice in my life.

Nehemiah came to my house and we left to go to the woods to run. I went behind one of the bushes to shift. It was so invigorating to shift, my wolf was howling with joy! I was beyond excited. I came from behind the bushes and I saw Nehemiah for the first time. He was so beautiful. His eyes were the color of emeralds. His fur was as black as coal..It was thick and satiny, he had Lush, shiny fur. He was in a word magnificent. My interest was surely peaked, I blamed it on my wolf. He came over towards me and I could feel butterflies in my tummy. Then the craziest thing happened....He spoke to me, in my head! He spoke! "You are hot Kaylee, I have never seen a wolf so beautiful. Your eyes are so blue, man I didn't know what to expect but...." I couldn't believe that I could hear him. But I guessed because we were in the same pack (for now) our minds were in sync.
