Your town was utterly boring.
The town where tourists never stopped at, unless it was to ask for directions. The weather was nothing exciting: rainy days, cloudy skies. The same things happened everyday, like a boring routine that you were dying to get out of.
"Run away with me," Wonwoo whispers to you one night, underneath the loud music of the party. You look up at him, questioning his motive of why he'd suggest such a thing (if Seungcheol heard Wonwoo was taking nonsense at his party, he'd freak).
"You're serious?"
He hums in your ear, closing his eyes as he holds you close. "Yeah."
At 1AM, you quietly pack your bag and sneak out the front doors, meeting Wonwoo on the corner of your street. Your heart warms looking at him, making you feel like you could drive with him all night. So you kiss him, under the street lights, feeling the adrenaline through your blood.
"Ready?" His breath tickles your nose.
"Yeah."
You wanted to be here with him.
So the two of you hop onto a train, heading towards nowhere. It's empty, as it would be at one in the morning, excluding the few people who had late night shifts. He holds your hand tightly as the train raced over the tracks, taking you further and further from your home.
"Where do you want to go?" He asks, looking at the map of the train, the lights flickering as you passed stop by stop.
"Anywhere," you reply, and he looks over at you, grinning.
He tugs you off at a random stop, a whole new world opening to the two of you as the city lights lit the dark sky. Everyone was asleep, but the city was wide awake. You hold your breath as you take in the view, falling in love with a place you had just met.
Wonwoo whispers that he's hungry so you walk the streets, hand in hand, looking for an open restaurant. It wasn't hard to find a bar open 24/7, and the two of you walk in, the bell at the door greeting you.
"A couple of troublemakers, I see. Out so late at night?" The bartender laughs as the two of you sit, studying the menu above his head.
"Just having some time away from home," Wonwoo replies, smiling and the bartender raises his eyebrows.
"Ah, I understand. Well, enjoy it. Call me when you're ready to order."
He goes back to the kitchen and Wonwoo glances at you, asking you what you wanted to eat. You pick pancakes and he picks eggs and bacon; breakfast at night. You order, eat, and leave, returning to the night.
It's quieter now, the city being lit by the few lamp posts and couple of cars passing by. Wonwoo tightens his hand around yours.
"I'm sleepy," you whisper. There wasn't any particular reason to, but you found the need for it; it was like a secret.
Wonwoo finds a motel and checks the two of you in, and when you reach your room, you collapse into the bed, smiling at the comfort. Wonwoo joins you, crawling up beside you and the two of you lay there just like that.
"When will we go home?"
"Anytime you'd like."
But you didn't care when you'd go home; you just wanted to stay here with him.
