It was middle of the night when I awoke without explanation. I sit up, trying to figure out what I had awakened me. The only explanation a creak outside in the hallway. I slide out of my bed and cross over to the door, opening it just enough for me to peak out. Just as I look, the small figure of a girl passes by holding a candle. It was one of Diggory's children, perhaps he wasn't a complete nutcase after all. Satisfied, I'm about to close the door when I hear another creak in the hallway. This time it a boy, walking slowly as if trying not to be heard by what must be his sister. Why was he being so sneaky? I wait a few seconds then slip through my door and follow him silently down the hallway.

Eventually, he leads me to a back room, the sole furnishing an old but gorgeous wardrobe. I enter just as the boy closes the door, locking himself and presumably his sister in the wardrobe.

What an idiot! Is everyone is this house a lunatic?

Figuring he would grateful, I cross over and throw open the wardrobe door. But to my surprise, instead of being greeted by two children I am greeted by a soft, white sunlight. I catch my breath. I hesitantly step inside and push through the rows of coats. I find myself in a snow covered wood, a chilly but not bitter wind brushing my cheeks. In awe, I begin to make my way through the woods. The branches are close over head and thick, dimming the light but not completely blocking it out, giving the white wood a sort of glow. The snow crunched under my feet.

A sharp voice pierces the cold air, impaling the silence. "And what, pray, are you?"

I freeze in my tracks but after a quick glance around confirm that the words were not directed at me. The words which follow were muffled, so I move closer so I can eaves drop, carefully choosing my step so I won't be heard. I settle myself behind a bush.

A boy who looks to be about my age, with long and ruffled black hair was saying. "We're on vacation- it's summer there."

A tall woman, with skin to match the snow, replied in a snappish tone. "But are you in fact human."

The boy snorts. "Well, of course."

I watch the scene play out in front of me. The woman invites the boy into her sled and talks rather to sweetly to him, but I no longer listen to her words. I focus completely and solely on the boy. I know him, I swear I do. His dark hair, his arrogant, snobby tone. Everything about him seemed familiar. It's not until the woman asks him if he wants something to eat that it clicks.

"Turkish Delight, please." he says, in tone which is more demanding than requesting. Instantly, I realize who it is and I am filled with a complete and total loathing. I wait until the woman lets him out her sled. "Come to me soon!" she says sweetly and her sled pulls away, going right by me. I hold still praying she doesn't see me, though I don't know why I'm so paranoid about it. As soon as she's out of sight, I jump out of the bushes and begin stomping towards the boy.

"Edmund James Pevensie." I exclaim.

He looks startled. "Excuse me?"

"You mean you don't recognize me, idiot."

His eyes instantly fill with recognition. "Thalia Rose," he spits out. "What are you doing here?"

"I might ask the same of you." I put my hands on my hips.

"I followed Lucy here."

"Where is here?"

"She calls it, Narnia."

I look around. "What are we going to tell Peter?" I breathe.

"Well, I'm not going to tell him anything. I'm not going to be proven wrong. Things are already bad enough for me." He sneers.

I look at him in disgust. "You're going to lie to him!"

"What business of it of yours?" he snaps.

"I heard Diggory talking last night. Peter already thinks Lucy's going mad, if you lie too you just might break her heart!"

"Oh, poor Lucy!" he rolls his eyes.

"You selfish little creep!"

"You don't understand. You always were ignorant about-"

"Me? Ignornant?" I exclaim.

"Yes you!"

We begin to talk over each other."What about you? You always seem to think you're smarter than everyone else-"

"And you're so arrogant about it too! You think you know everything-"

"But you're wrong!" we exclaim together.

"Edmund?" A girls voice interrupts us before we can strangle each other. We turn to see Lucy approaching us. It's only a few seconds before she sees me too. I didn't think she'd recognize me but sure enough she hesitantly asks, "Thalia?"

I smile sheepishly. "Hello, Lu."

"What are you doing here?" she asks.

"I followed Ed, who was following you. What are you doing here?"

She giggles. "I was visiting Mr. Tumnus. Isn't Narnia wonderful?"

"Yes, just fabulous." Ed mutters. I turn to him. "Oh would you just shut up."

He snorts. "You're one to talk."

"Please, stop." Lucy keeps us from strangling each other once again. "This is all to amazing for you to argue."

I sigh. "Fine. But I'm afraid we should get going. It's cold and beginning to get dark. Do you know the way home from here, Lucy?" She nods eagerly and runs off. Ed and I follow behind her, glaring daggers at each other but not saying anything. Finally, we find the branches are turning into coats and we stumble out of the wardrobe. Lucy immediately runs out of the room. I look at Edmund.

"Do you ever stop to think a situation may be bigger than your petty problems?" I ask him. But he simply rolls his eyes and follows Lucy out of the room.

Yay for Narnia!!! Ed and Thalia certainly don't get along very well, do they? I find it rather amusing to write.
