I awakened on a floor...a hard, uncomfortable floor. I moved my muscles stiffly as I peeled open my eyelids, trying to lift myself up from the ground and look around me. Where was I? What had happened? My head felt really dizzy, and my eyes were straining in the dark before me.
The last thing I remember was Marcus and Melissa pulling me into some sort of light...and now where was I?
I seemed to be in a cave of some sort, a certain warmth of red radiating around the atmosphere. I saw pillars of black stone around the wide room, and the floor I was lying on was actually part of a cliff. The ceiling had a certain red glow about it, and as I sat up I felt the air temperature rise too.
"Morning sleeping beauty," a voice behind me purred, making me gasp and jump out of my skin.
I turned around quickly to see Marcus smirking, making me slowly pull myself to my feet and stand a few feat back. "Where am I?" I demanded, looking around frantically at my new surroundings. Was I dead?
"Hell baby!" he said enthusiastically as he spread his arms out either side of him, gazing proudly at his fortress.
"W-What?" I stuttered, watching as he walked around in joy of the place.
"Hell? The underworld...? Surely you've heard of that." He said in a flat tone.
I nodded slowly as I felt myself stiffen in horror. I was in hell? Not heaven? Did that mean I wasn't on earth? Oh no, was the devil here? Did he even exist?
"What am I doing here?" I sobbed, "are you going to kill me?"
"No, no Jessica," Marcus shook his head, "I just wanted to show you our hangout place! It's yours now too!"
"What?" I gasped. Mine? My hangout place? What did he mean by that?
He sauntered over to me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "I told you that you'd be a good edition to the team. So here we are."
I wiggled my way out of his arm and moved away from him. "I need to go home," I demanded, feeling myself panic as I saw no sign of a door or window. It was like we were in a bottom of a volcano or a cave.
"But you see," he began, "you don't. You never 'need' to go home again! This is your new home!"
"No," I breathed, blinking back the fresh tears as I felt myself taking in the information, "I-It's not. Kyle will find me...and save me. He'll get me out of here."
"I wouldn't hold your breath on that one Jessica," he chuckled, "aren't you the one who just broke up with him? Who's going to save someone who hurt them?"
"H-He'll come," I stuttered, not even believing myself with my weak confidence.
Marcus sighed, and sang "Awkward" in a high pitched voice. I rolled my eyes at his immaturity despite feeling scared out of my wits.
"I think you should meet the guys," he announced suddenly, clapping his hands sharply once.
"What?" I said, my voice going up an octave higher in pitch as I saw the new figures appear in front of me.
The guys that had appeared miraculously were all wearing black clothing, and looked quite menacing. They seemed pretty big up close, and they stood away from me like they had certain positions to stand in. Shoulders back and heads held high. I slowly backed away from them and watched their movements causiously incase they decided to move, when I felt myself walk into something hard behind me.
I jumped as I felt two hands on my upper arms, and another few of Marcus's followers looking down on me.
I had only just realised that I was the only girl in here at the moment.
