You will come across a lot of different teachers. In my school we had seven class periods and advisment.
Most of the time you won't have the same teacher all three years. My school had one art teacher, band director, choir director, girls P.E. teacher, boys P.E. teacher and one woods teacher.
Some teachers are really stern. With these teachers just do what they tell you and don't talk. The less things you do to get yourself in trouble the better off you are in the long run. Just don't annoy these teachers and try to stay on their good side.
Most of the teachers I have had have been really loose on rules. These are teachers that you can joke around with without getting in trouble. You need to make sure that you know that you can joke around with them.
There are some teachers that are both. They have their days where you can joke around and have a fun time in class, then again they have their days where they're in a terrible mood and if you so much as make a noise you are getting in trouble.
No matter what kind of teacher you think they are you need to make sure that you know. It took me a month to get to know my teachers and know what kind of teacher they are.
