I blinked several times and the scene changed. I sat in a chair, ropes thing me down. One light glared at me from above.

" Just choose a weapon!" A woman said impatiently. Casey stood by a metal table, looking at various weapons. " You know I can't do this Rosie." Casey chocked with sobs.

"You tore me apart and left me to die from my own sadness!" Roselynn screamed. She emerged from the shadows." Now you must destroy another."

Casey shakily lifted a knife from the table along with a Shielder's blaster. She slowly took a few steps forward to face me.

"I am so sorry..." I struggled against the restraints. Casey lifted the blaster up. Then in a mere matter of seconds Roselynn was on the floor, blood pulsing from a wound in her forehead. "I know this isn't real Rosie!" Casey screamed before cutting the ropes.

I jumped up and embraced Casey, sobbing. Fear and relief shook my body. Casey held me tight. "Roselynn was already gone...she committed suicide only a few weeks ago. I am sorry you were afraid I would hurt you, but I would never." She assured.

The lights popped and burned out leaving us in complete darkness. I opened my eyes to see that we were back in the pod, our restraints releasing us. The pod opened up and we stumbled out, relieved it was over.

It was awkward, walking back. I had no appetite, so I went back to our room. The pod vision had changed me emotionally and it hurt, knowing that I couldn't love Casey back if one of us couldn't make it.
........
Sorry for such a short chapter!
I wanted it to end with that sentence and I didn't have enough bulk in the beginning and middle to make it longer. Je  suis  desole. If I correctly spelt desole right.
