Chapter 44 : Rain-bow

Kakashi's pov

As I arrived, the first thing that I see is...

Hiroyuki weeping at the body of the third hokage. I pull her away from the sight of the third's life-less body. Even if she's wearing a mask to hide her face, but I'm sure that she's crying hard behind those. There's tears spilling to the ground from under her mask. I squad down to her height and undo her mask. She's just silently crying without any sound. It's just crushed me even more.

I pull her into my arms. She snuggle her head at the crook of my neck and clenched the back of my jounin flak vest and keep on mumbling "I'll kill him... That Bastard... Grandpa Hokage... No." I look at my friends. Their face shows pained emotion. I know that Hiroyuki rarely shows this side of hers. This breaking, hallow side of her. But when she is, everyone seems to be pained only by the sight of it.

I caress her back in attempt to soothe her. Not long after it, she's now passed out on my arms. "kakashi" Kurenai silently called. I feel my fingers is wet. I raise my finger. I see... Blood. Everyone seems to be speechless of the blood. I let her grip go and lay her down. Now her impaled stomach is seen. It bleed alot that she should be dead already by this long. Without further delay, I lift her bride-style towards the hospital to stop her bleeding.

Kurenai's pov

We tail behind Kakashi who went towards the now open trees rooftop. He suddenly came to halt. I stepped aside to see what's stoping him.

It's Hiroyuki... weeping over the third hokage's life-less body.

I can't believe it. The Hiroyuki. The ICE COLD Kitten. Weeping over the third's body.

Sometimes I forget that she's still human... still a Child.

Kakashi pull her away from the body and brought her into his arms. "I'll Kill him... That Bastard... Grandpa Hokage... No" she mumbled in his arms. I feel really pained at how she breaks like that. I heard drops of water. I realise that her clothing is stained with blood. And it's dripping. Oh no. She's impaled. And losing lots of blood.

"Kakashi" I softly said. He just realise Hiroyuki is bleeding. He lay her down. It's confirmed that she's impaled. The wound keep on bleeding. I could see that he's panicking over her. He lift her bride-styled and run towards the hospital.

- Time Skip The Next Day -

Hiroyuki's pov

I wake to white sealing, beeping heart monitor, IV needle on my left, and loud conversation between a doctor and dad I supposed. "It isn't perfect but she need to rest to not re-opening the wounds again." "How long?" "It should atleast be 5 days total bedrest and another week of not much work." I closed cover my eye from the bright light.

"Hiroyuki. You're awake?" Dad came up to me and the doctor left. "How long have I been out?" I asked. He hugged me into his embrace "It's only few hours after you passed out. It's still midnight. You need to rest. But you won't be able to attend the hokage's funeral since you're badly injured." Dad said. As that word came out of his mouth, my eye automatically tearing up and soaking dad's clothes. "Shh... It's okay my little sunshine... I'm here..." There's nothing I could think of anymore besides screaming at him. Launch any anger in me towards him.

After a long half an hour of angry weeping cry, I could finally calm my self. After a long struggles out of his embrace, He finally lets go just as my mind is calm enough to think. "Dad..." I started "Promise me that you won't leave my side" I said. He just smiled behind his mask "People come by and went away. I'll surely be by your side before you're ready to let me go" Even if it isn't a promise, but I feel relieved.
