Looking For Alaska- Name
If the Colonel had to choose his own name, he would keep it the same. Unlike Alaska, he wouldn't change his name because he knew she wanted to identify herself with something else, but he also knew that every one around him identified him as the Colonel, the prankster and smoker, and so he wouldn't change his name at all.
