I run through the city of Jerusalem. Why? Because of the guards chasing me because I stole a loaf of bread. I mean come on! It's just bread!

I run through ally ways, trying to get away from the guards. My (H/ L) (H/ C) flows behind me when I run. I realize the ally ways aren't hiding me so I go into a crowd.

I push past people, while getting some angry complaints from people that I accidentally made drop stuff. I look behind me and I see the guards gaining up on me.

"Oh shit!" I nearly yell. I try to run faster but then I feel someone knock me to the ground. I groan in pain.

I look up and I see a group of six guards. I try to get away from them but one of them pushes me up against the wall. My (E/C) eyes look at the guard with fear.

I try to push him off me but his grip on me tightens.

"Please, let me go!" I cry out, "I was just trying to feed my little sister, please she's very ill," I beg. But the guard snickers.

"I've heard that sad story many times, you filthy rat!" The guard spats at me.

"It's not a lie, she will die if I don't get back to her!" I yell at him. I really do have a little sister and she is very sick. After our parents died, I had to take care of her. But that has been very difficult because it is hard for a woman to find work.

But the guard still doesn't believe me. I see get out a knife. I panic more.

"Young lady, do you know what the punishment is for stealing?" The guard says. Then he whispers in my ear.

"Death," he says. My eyes widen. He raises the knife towards me. Tears start to fall down my face.

"No, no, no, no please!" I cry out. Before the blade pierced my flesh, I see a man in white robes jump on to one of the guards and killing him.

The guard that was holding the knife to me was now defending himself against the hooded man. The guard trays to fight back, but the hooded man dodges all of his attacks. Then the hooded man stabs the guard in the neck and the guard falls onto the ground.

The other four guards come after the hooded man, but in the end he kills them all. Wow! Those guards never had a chance, did they?

I didn't notice until now that many people were running around and screaming, both men and women. The hooded man comes up to me.

"Are you okay, woman?" He asks me. I nod.

"Yes, if you didn't come when you did, they would have killed me," I say gratefully, "is there anything that I could do to repay you?" The hooded man weakly smiles.

"Just seeing you unharmed is repayment enough," he says. Before he leaves I grab his arm to stop him.

"Can I know the name of the man who saved my life?" I ask.

"Altair Ibn La'Ahad," he says and then I let him go. I smile.

"Altair, huh?" I smile to myself. I hear more guards coming and I run away with the loaf of bread in my hands to bring to my sister.
