Chapter 3

Emma's POV

I woke up in the room that Killian said was mine, but I dont remember coming back in here. I walked downstairs and Henry was down with Killian at the table.

"See I told you your mommy would be up." Killian say to him.

"Mommy!" Henry yells hugging me.

"Well I have to go, but I will see you both later." Killian says.

He got up and went outside. I followed him outside.

"When will you be back?" I ask him.

"I'll be back real soon. I going to see a friend." He says.

"Do we just wait here?" I ask.

"Yes, I will be right back. Dont go anywhere." He says.

"Okay I wont." I tell him.

He walked away and I went back inside.

"Will my dad find me?" Henry asks.

"I really hope not." I say to him.

"Are we safe?" He asks.

"Yeah we are. The reason we are with this guy is because he will keep us safe." I tell him.

"So Killian will keep you and me safe mommy? He said he would." Henry tells me.

"Killian was right. He is here to protect us." I say.

Flashback awhile ago.

I was waiting for Neal to bring home Henry from his first ever camping trip.

"Emma we are home." Neal says.

"I missed... What happened to our son?" I ask.

Henry had a bruise on his face.

"He got into a fight with another little boy." Neal says.

"Lets get you cleaned up I say to Henry.

End of Flashback.

I heard a car pulled up and the car door slammed and the front door opened and shut in anger.

Flashback to the day Emma found out Neal hurt Henry.

Henry was screaming as if he had a nightmare.

"Mommy's here." I say rocking him.

"He is going to hurt me." Henry cries.

"Who?" I ask him.

"Daddy." He says.

Neal left those marks on Henry and I believed it was another kid. I heard the car pull up and the door shut and the front door slammed. I went down to see Neal.

"You hurt him." I say.

"Excuse me?" He questions.

"Henry, didnt get into a fight you hurt him." I say.

"So what the kid needs to be punshished. Just like you will be if you tell anyone." Neal says getting into my face.

"No, Im calling for help." I say.

Neal took my phone. He hit me several times till I bled.

End of Flashback.

"Swan? Emma. Hey your okay." Killian says.

"He wont find us right?" I ask him.

I started to cry and he hugged me. I barely know this man but he feels safe to be with.

"I wont let anything bad happen to your or your son." He says.

"Killian Im afraid." I tell him.

"Hey why dont you me and Henry go for a walk." He suggests.

"Yeah okay." I say.

He handed me his jacket and I grabbed Henry's hand. Killian followed us out of the house and for the first time in a long time I didnt feel scared or afraid or lost. I felt safe and secure and its all thanks to Killian.
