"Where the sun always shines"

My mind

is a rose garden,

with vines all up the walls.

The roses come in all different colours

but your face is on them all.

There are butterflies and trees,

and blue skies and seas,

and fallen leaves floating with the wind

as it whispers your name, and calls for you again.

The sun always shines

behind the mountains that we climb

but then I wonder

if you're even real

at all.

You live only in my mind,

where the sun always shines,

because the world outside

is too grey, and too mild,

for a soul that lights up the sky,

like yours.
