"Don't Worry About Me, Look After Yourself"

I see you as a flower,

because that's exactly what you're like.

I see you slowly dying,

I'll try bring you back to life.

I notice how your colour fades

when you give me your jacket to protect me from the rain.

I notice how you go through pain

trying to keep me sane.

I see you across the garden

when everyone's stomping around you

I notice the way you quietly comfort yourself

when your stem begins to harden.

I see the way your petals fall

when you hold my freezing hands for warmth,

or when you delicately rub your fingers against your head

when people make you feel fragile and small.

Because I see all these things about you,

because I am a great storm,

I will leave you alone to blossom again.

You deserve to be in your greatest form.
