As I'm finishing curling my hair, I hear a knock on my door. "Coming!" I run downstairs and open the door to see Rouge stand in front of me with a gorgeous leaf patterned dress, green coat, boots, and the shinniest set of jewelry I ever saw.

She's busy texting who I figured was Knuckles, and gesture her in. "Hey Rouge, come on in." "Thanks, darling." I close the door behind me. "You ok?" "Yea..just great..." Her eyes were glued to the phone. She kept texting and her expression got more serious by the minute. By now I was convinced that it was Knuckles she was texting, I watched her as we sat down in the living room. A while later she's still on her phone, and the silence was unbearable, so I spoke. "I like your necklace and earings by the way" Rouge smiles and turns off her phone. "Aren't they just fabulous?! This is just ONE of the jewelery sets I bought from PRECIOUS STONE earlier today." I smiled back at her, a little freaked by her sudden mood swing. "Speaking of which, I can't wait for you to get to Tails' house for the dinner and see that new chandelier Cosmo put up not long ago! It's huge, and just as gorgeous! And---" Rouge was cut off by the ringing of her phone. She looks at it fudious and groans. "Ugh..what is it now?!.... WHAT?!?! I told you to turn left at main street not Coconut Ave.!.....You are so stupid....*sigh*..listen you red lunatic, it's 5:30 p.m right now. If you don't get here by 6:00 like I said, you can drive yourself to the party while I call a cab. GOODBYE!" She hangs up. I couldn't help but laugh a bit inside. Now I know for sure that was Knuckles. I also know for sure that he must have taken a wrong turn trying to get to my house. Lol, I don't really blame him. I DO live next to a forest, but I've learned to like it here. The fresh air, sightseeing, open space for Lily to fly around, what's not to love? I even heard there was someone else living around here, but who it is remains a mystery to me. I look at Rouge for a second and she glances back with a sigh. She smiles and gives a weak giggle, and speaks. "Now where was I? Ah yes, that chandelier must've cost a fortune! Oh, and the detail put in it is just breathtaking!!" I was starting to get annoyed with all this admiration."Okay okay, I get it! You really like the chandelier and can't wait for me to see it." "Sorry..." It's 5:55 p.m. Rouge gets cranky once again. Gees, I've never seen her THIS bipolar...she on her period or something?...I was getting sleepy, but the beeping of a car woke me up. "That must be Knuckles! C'mon Amy, let's go." Rouge grabs my arm and we run out the door. I told her to hold on a sec while I lock the house, and we got in the car. "It's about time you got here!" Knuckles completely ignores Rouge's comment and turns around his seat to look at me. "Nice to see you again, Amy. It's been awile." I shyly nod and felt my cheeks slightly blush. It HAS been awile...but that doesn't matter as of now. "Nice to see you too, Knuckles." Hey turns back around in his seat."Alright, let's get going!" Rouge looks at him serious. "You DO remember how to get to Tails' house right?" "Nope! But here we go anyway!" Rouge face palms herself. This is going to be a long trip...
*1 hour later*
It's been an hour and a quarter since we left the house. Rouge is basically a flame now, yelling at Knuckles every time he took a wrong turn. "Knuckles the Echidna, it is 7:15. I swear if we are late to this party, I will strangle you TO THE DEATH..... You know what? Pull up. I'm driving." Knuckles pulls up the car and they switch seats. Rouge takes the wheel and in about 10 minutes or so we pull up at Tails' house. "*Sigh*...Amy, I am so sorry you had to see all this crap.. cuz THIS red lunatic doesn't know the first thing about location." Knuckles "hmphs" and gets out the car. I couldn't help but giggle a bit. "It's fine, really. To be honest it was fun to watch." Rouge rolls her eyes with a smile."Hurry up and get out the car, pinky." We're all out of the car, Knuckles locks it, and we walk towards the household. Honestly, it looked more like a mansion than a house, or maybe I'm just too used to small houses. Anyway, I get more nervous as we walk to the door. I know I said I wouldn't care, but karma struck me hard when I realized once again, that they don't want anything to do with me anymore. I pop back into reality from the little thought when I hear Rouge ding dong the doorbell. Well, here goes nothing.
