PLOT: In which a girl who can't sing faked her way into Glee Club and needs to see how far her lies can stretch before she gets caught out.

EXTENDED SUMMARY: Allie was rich and beautiful, people wanted her, people wanted to be her even. She was the girl that people naturally liked, she didn't seem to have any problems and didn't push other people down to gain her popularity. Some would say she was flawless, everything from her clear complexion and perfectly tamed hair, but she wasn't. Her parents were overbearing, always expecting too much of her. She just couldn't be what they wanted, she could only act like she could be that girl, that flawless girl.

Glee Club was growing and spreading like wildfire, it was getting more attention than anybody suspected. Even people from outside the school heard about the well choreographed and extravagant performances–including Allie's parents. It was something they wanted her to join, she needed to do it to keep up her immaculate reputation, or more her parent's. It was something to brag about, their daughter in this Glee Club that everybody talk about. The only problem being that she couldn't sing. At all.

Then there was Quinn, she was left mortified, her relationship with Finn practically non-existent. She blamed herself, maybe if she was a little nicer or all that sweeter then he would finally realise that they were meant for each other. Then entered this girl, Allie, a project for her to take on and show Finn exactly what he left behind. A girl who was charismatic and kind and everything he was looking for. All it took was a little work on Allie and a lot of lying from Quinn. It all goes smoothly until it isn't so much about impressing Finn anymore or helping Allie make her parents proud, it is about avoiding what they were feeling during all that extra time together.

"She lost her voice."
"The backing track is too quiet, turn it up." "Make sure you keep her mic off and the playback on."
