There is officially a total of 28 chapters to this book and I'd know because it's finished. I've written it all up on Word, I just decide when to upload each chapter and it felt like the right time to upload this one. On that note, look out for chapter 24 which will come before the end of this month at least lol

Anastasia’s POV

*The Ritual*

I looked in the mirror and took a nervous breath. I was wearing a plain white knee length dress with white flats. Apparently, it’s customary that the main guest of the ritual wears white to show the goddess that she’s pure, it’s also the colour of the heavens and it’s worn to show respect to the goddess and her fellow counsellors.

Let’s just say I was extremely nervous about the whole thing. Ali has reassured me that the goddess will accept me but that’s not what I’m afraid of, I’m not even afraid, I’m just very very nervous. The fact that I was going to literally meet the goddess, the leader of all mythical beings, doesn’t necessarily calm me down,

“Anna, you ready?”

I looked at Ali in the mirror and nodded, “As I’ll ever be”

I turned around to face him and he smiled at me before taking my hand, “You look beautiful”

I smiled in thanks and let him lead me downstairs to the back of the house where the whole pack was waiting.

There was a huge circle made out of lit candles but the pack was surrounding it on the outside. At the sight of me and Ali, the crowd parted like the red sea, allowing us to walk through it and step into the middle of the circle.

Once we stopped, the crowd bowed to us and Ali addressed them, “For those of you that don’t know, this is a ritual! Our Luna would like to be accepted by the goddess in her circle of worship and tonight, we invite the goddess here to hopefully accept her!”

The crowd cheered and I smiled, “As a pack, we have to agree as one! Does anyone object to our Luna joining the circle of worship?!”

The crowd stayed silent which was very good because I really didn’t want to have to go through any drama if someone happened to object,

“Dominic, hand me the ritual book”

Dominic stepped into the circle and handed him a black book with gold cursive on the front. Ali turned to a certain page before facing me and reading out of the book,

“Goddess, Seraphine, Heavenly counsel, Leader of the mythicals, I as an alpha, I as a worshipper am calling you here tonight. Grace us with your presence, your knowledge, your wisdom, grace us with all that you are so that you can grace our Luna with the same! She wishes to be accepted into your circle of worship so please, join us tonight and give us your judgment! Give her your blessing!”

I never thought I’d say this in my lifetime but all of a sudden, a burst of white light appeared in front of us, making me cover my eyes from how bright it was. Once my eyes adjusted to the sudden change of brightness, I laid my eyes on the most beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life,

“Wow, y-you’re beautiful”

She smiled at my words and I was in awe of her even more at how beautiful her smile was, she’s just absolutely flawless,

“Thank you. I’m glad you think so”

Her voice, oh my gosh her voice was just angelic! Is it possible for a woman to look and sound so beautiful?!
