I'm as shocked as Carl because for the past 7 years I didn't think I had a voice anymore.

I stood quite.

"This is the first time I've heard your voice and now you are just going to stay quiet on me, come on say something" Carl begs

I looked at him then looked down. I stood up slowly and then headed for the door.

"Don't leave, you can't just say something and leave!"

I didn't listen, I ignored everyone and walked out of the hospital.

I walked and walked until I noticed I was lost. I came upon abandoned train tracks and sat down and looked up at the polluted night sky, and all I could do was cry.

Fiona came running in with Debbie and lip.

"What did you do to her?!" Debbie shouts sounding very upset

"Nothing!!! She said she was happy I was oka--"

"Wait wait wait" lip stops me" did you just say "she said", dude she doesn't talk"

"Well she talked to me, well kind of she just said one sentence and the left me" I say

The room gets quiet.

"What?" I ask clearly confused.

"Carl, Zoe hasn't talked for the past 7 years according to her sister..." Fiona says

"Well what the fuck did I do, did I break her or something because I'm kind of having a hard time wrapping my head around this." I tell them very frustrated

"Look, right now we don't have to worry about that, what is important is that you are okay and we gotta get you home so the med bill won't make us go broke." Lip reasons.

2 days later

I haven't seen Zoe at all for the past two days. Everything has been quiet next door which is even weirder.

Its Monday and I don't have to go to school until my shoulder is all healed.

I heard foot steps running upstairs and my door gets opened wide as I see Debs looking horrified.

"Have you seen Zoe?!?!" She asks frantically

"No, why?"

"I haven't seen nor heard from her, she wasn't at school today and I'm really starting to freak out!!" Debbie says really quickly

"Have you asked her sister?" I questioned

With that she just runs out the door.

later on that day

I heard talking going on downstairs, and decided to go see who was here.

Once I get to the bottom of the stairs I see Zoe's sister, Debbie, Fiona, V, Ian, Lip, and Kev in the living room. They all paused and looked at me.

"What?" I asked

"Do you have any idea where Zoe can be?" Zoe's sister asks

"No? Wait so she hasn't been home at all?" I ask

"No, no ones seen her since the night of the party" Debbie answers

"Did you tell her anything to make her leave?" Zoe's sister questions

"No, more like she just said something and left."

"SHE SPOKE?!?" She shouted

"Yeah.. she said she was glad I was okay then kind of freaked and left"

She just paused and looked at the floor holding her head.

"Okay what's the big deal of her and speaking. Why is it so crazy that she talked?" I asked

"When our dad was killed she kind of just, stopped talking because she saw the whole thing. I haven't heard her say anything since she was 9"
