I Missed You{Shinji Hirako x Reader}

"(Y/n)! Be careful!" Captain Kisuke Urahara yelled at his daughter. She was small, but a powerful soul reaper even though she still could connect with her zanpaktuo. "I'll be fine dad! I'm just delivering some paperwork to Captain Shinji. So don't worry!" The small girl ran off to squad five barracks. She entered the squad five barracks heading to the captain's room. She had trouble opening the door, but she was able to do it anyways. "(Y/n)?" The small girl looked from behind the tall stacks of paper to see Aizen. "Hello Lieutenant Aizen. I've go some paperwork here for Captain Shinji." She was happy to visit squad five barracks. She didn't realise that it was her last happy day in that room.

~Present Day~

(Y/n) was no longer short. She was now the normal height of a teenage girl. She went to Karakura High School.

"(Y/n) you seem to be distracted lately." You looked at Ichigo. You shrugged and sighed slightly. "I just miss my old home and friends." That's when you got an idea. "Since you've been training to control your hollowfied form, you wouldn't mind if I tagged along." Ichigo looked at you contemplating the idea. "Please Ichigo! I might stop with calling you strawberries." You tried your best to persuade him. He sighs and nods knowing you were to stubborn to give up and you'd probably annoy him by constantly calling him strawberries. "Fine. Just be careful. Also if you get hurt it's not my fault." You nod and hug Ichigo.

You both headed to a warehouse. Ichigo instantly got hit in the face. You bite your lip to keep from laughing. "WHAT THE HELL HIYORI!?!" You let out a giggle as Ichigo glared at you. "Shut up!" You smirked and shook your head. "You're late!" Hiyori glared at Ichigo. She then looked at you. "Who are you?" Hiyori was trying to keep from cusing since Shinji said she couldn't go a day without cusing so they made a bet out of it. "Hiyori don't you remember me? I guess you probably wouldn't since I am taller than you now." Hiyori looked at you confused.

Shinji walks up the stairs to see Hiyori staring at you and Ichigo on the floor. "What happened up here?" Hiyori glared at Shinji. You looked at him and frowned. "Why'd he cut his hair?" Hiyori realised who you were and smirked. "Ichigo downstairs now. Shinji why don't you stay here with our guest." Hiyori still smirking dragged Ichigo downstairs. "Hiyori! Don't leave me here alone with Cap- I mean Shinji!" You still had a habit of calling Shinji, Captain Shinji.

"What brings a lovely lady like yourself here?" Shinji asked sweetly. You glared at him. "I'm not talking to you until you explain why you cut your hair." Shinji walked over to you and wrapped his arms around your waist. "I kept being confused for a girl." You growled. "But I liked your long hair. I could braid it, sometimes when you weren't looking I'd curl the ends of it." You smiled talking about Shinji's long hair. "Is that all you liked about me (Y/n)? Just my hair?" He sounded so disappointed. "No. I liked how nice you were to me. How silly you are..." You continued to name things off that you liked, more like loved, about Shinji. Shinji smiled as he turned you so you were facing him. He gently placed a hand on your cheek as he kisses you. Your eyes widen as you slowly kiss back. You wrapped your arms around his neck as you kept kissing him.

After some time you both pulled away. You blushed bright red. "I've waited so long to kiss you. I had feelings for you when I was smaller, but now I can actually be with you and it won't seem strange." Shinji laughed a bit then he kisses your forehead. "I know how you feel. I love you (Y/n)." You smile and place your head on his chest. "I love you too, Shinji." You were happy you finally found Shinji again. After that day no one could separate you two.

"I knew it." Ichigo looked at Hiyori confused. "Knew what?" She sighed and hit Ichigo on the head. "I knew they'd end up together. I knew that back when Shinji was a captain and i was a lieutenant." Ichigo started asking questions he hadn't thought about asking before.
