Your POV~

I watch as my friends argue about something, well debate about something. I wasn't paying attention to them since it was the same thing as usual. I softly sigh as I close my eyes. "This is such a drag." My words earn a laugh from my friends. "Shikamaru is that you?" Ino jokes as I open my eyes to look at her. "Ha ha so funny." I sarcastically respond. "Someone's being more sarcastic this morning. Did something happen before you came to school?" I sigh once again as I look at Sakura. "My parents were arguing again this morning. They almost got physical, but luckily I was able to keep that from happening. I don't understand why they won't just get a divorce already. It's not like they're staying together for me since I'm practically an adult now. It's almost like they enjoy being miserable together." I explain to them, which has become the norm between us. "Maybe you should tell them how you feel about their relationship?" Sakura suggest, but I just shrug. "It's not like they listen to me, but I've gotten used to that and doing things myself. I mean I forged most of their signatures for things because they ignored me or got into a fight because of what I said." The three of us went silent after that. I knew Ino and Sakura were trying to make life better for me, but I couldn't depend on them for everything. Before anyone else said anything the teacher entered just as the bell rang signaling that class has started.

My classes seemed to pass by quickly, but that's probably because I didn't pay attention. Since I wasn't paying attention in a class that teacher gave me detention which meant I'd had to stay an extra hour at school. I didn't care, but that meant I'd have to walk home since Ino and Sakura had things to do after school and I had no one else that could pick me up. Luckily I was able to not worry about all of that during lunch. Sakura and Ino distracted me, but they weren't the only ones. Hinata and Temari were having lunch with us today so I was able to just feel relaxed and stress free. We were talking about so many different things before conversation landed on the topic of boys. Mainly which boys we would date if given the chance.

"Sakura, Ino, you both can't have Sasuke. One of you has to change their answer." Temari says as Hinata giggles. "Fine. Only hypothetically, I'd choose Sai." Ino says as her cheeks were became red. "Alright, so Sakura would choose Sasuke, Ino would choose Sai, Hinata would definitely choose Naruto, and I would choose Shikamaru. Now (Y/n) who would you choose?" They all looked at me. I just shrugged not having anyone in mind. "I don't know. I don't really think about these things. Besides I don't need some guy to act like I'm his property." The girls all laughed. "(Y/n) that's not how relationships work. Also these are hypothetical answers so you could say whoever you want." Temari tells me. "Ok, ok. Hypothetically I'd choose.." I look around the cafeteria to see who I'd hypothetically choose to date. My gaze lands on Neji, who's having lunch with Rock Lee, Shikamaru, Kiba, and Shino. "(Y/n)?" I look back my friends not realizing I had been staring at Neji. My cheeks started to get warm. "Ooo~ (Y/n) has a crush on someone~" Ino teased earning a glare from me. "So who were you looking at?" Hinata softly asks. "No one. I was looking at no one." I lie, but they all know it's a lie. "You had to be looking at someone, you were practically staring at the boys at Shikamaru's table." I softly sigh as I start playing with my food. "Well we know she doesn't like Shikamaru since they act like siblings, Kiba and her fight like cats and dogs so I doubt it's him, and Neji is out of the question since they don't interact at all. So it's either Rock Lee or Shino." Ino deduces. "Didn't she reject Rock Lee last year?" Sakura asks. "Yeah I did. It's not that I didn't like him, I just didn't feel any real connection with him." I answer as I stop playing with my food. "So that means you like Shino!" Ino exclaims louder than she intended. I glare at her. "Are you trying to spread false information? We were talking about hypothetically dating not actually."
