The lost girl

Chapter 8

"Hook you need to take that necklace" I heard Rumpel say.
I looked down at the necklace that was around my neck I had no idea who it was from but I liked it.
"Just let her keep it" my dad said.
"What if it takes what I did away?" Rumpel asked.
"What?" I asked.
"Kat! How's your head you had a nasty fall" my dad said as I walked up to him and his wheel.
"Um it's okay I think I slept it off" I said with a smile.
My dad nodded to Rumpel and then he walked off.
"Do you remember what happened before your fall?" He asked.
"Yeah there was a storm" I said.
"Okay so your okay" he said with a relief.
"I've been meaning to ask you papa ever since you picked me up from my mothers home" I said as I stood next to him.
"What's that?" He asked.
"Why did you leave me?" I asked.
"Kat that's not what happened" he said.
"What happened" I asked.
"I'll tell you once we are back in Storybrook" he said.
"Okay" I said as I seen Henry walk on deck.
"Hey Hen" I said as I walked over to him.
"Hey Kat how are you feeling?" Henry asked.
"I'm good I think I'm a bit confused but I'm sure it will pass" I said as we looked out into the ocean.
"I heard you and your father will be sticking around Storybrook awhile" Henry said.
"Yeah I guess so" I said with a smile.
Henry was my only friend I don't remember when I met him I just know he's my best friend and he's a year younger than me I think...
"You nervous?" He laughed.
"Not really I'm Kathlyn Jones" I said with a smile.
"There's Storybrook" Henry said with a smile
"Looks like a nice little town" I said as my dad docked the Jolly Roger.
"Come on" Henry said as he pulled me towards the exit.
All the towns people where at the dock to greet Henry and Emma and everyone I stayed back with my dad.
"You seem a bit worried Kat" my dad said as he put his arm around me.
"Nah" I said as him and I followed the crowd.

*few hours later*
I sat in a booth at Granny's and ate a hamburger while my dad sat at the bar drinking.
"Hey kiddo" Emma said as she sat across from me.
"Hi Emma" I said slowly.
"Your father didn't want to sit with you?" she asked.
"Nah he wanted to sit at the bar" I said as I played with the remaining food.
"Well tomorrow is school so you might want to head to bed" she said.
"It's merely nine o'clock" I said as looked at her.
"Yeah" She said.
I put the money on the table and got up and sat next to my dad at the bar.
"So what the story?" I asked.
"What story?" He asked.
"You know the one about you abandoning me" I said.
"Right I didn't abandon you though" he said.
Killian POV
*London 11 years ago*
"Amanda you can't do that!" I yelled.
"She needed to be punished" my wife said.
"Locking her in a closet under the stairs isn't a punishment" I said as I opened the door.
"I think it's the perfect punishment" she said with a smile.
I carefully picked my daughter up.
"How long has she been in there?" I asked as I looked at the fragile 5 year old.
"Only a week" she said with a shrug.
"A week!" I yelled.
"Papa?" Kathlyn whispered as she hugged me.
"It's okay Kathlyn" I said.
"No it's not!" Amanda yelled as she ripped Kathlyn out of my arms and brought her to her room locking her in there.
"You can't do that!" I yelled as she walked back into the kitchen.
"I want a divorce" Amanda said as she pulled out papers.
"You've had this planned" I said.
"Of course I have you stupid pirate" she said rolling her eyes.
"I want my daughter" I said as I signed the papers.
"Oh I'm sorry Killian but that's not going to happen you see me and my boyfriend love Kathlyn so much and I don't think a ship is a place for a young child to grow up" Amanda smirked.
"I'm sorry boyfriend?" I asked.
"Yes now leave" she said.
"Absolutely not! I'm the only one that loves that little girl you can not take her away!" I yelled.
"Your a ship 24/7 I think I can do what ever I want she staying here with me and as far as I'm concerned you don't live here anymore and your never allowed to see her again and if you show up I'll have your ass thrown in jail so fast you won't know what hit you" Amanda yelled pushing me out the door.
"She's mine too!" I plead.
"Yeah well not anymore she has a new papa that's going to help me reach her a lesson or two good luck on the ship Killian" she laughed as she slammed the door.
"This isn't over Amanda!" I screamed as the front porch light went out.
"I'm coming back Kathlyn" I yelled as I walked away.
Kats POV
*present day*
"That's what happened?" I asked.
"Yes I didn't abandon you Kathlyn she forced me out and wouldn't let me see you" she said.
"I understand now and I forgive you" I said as I hugged him.
"I'm sorry Kathlyn. Can you tell me what happened with her boyfriend" he asked.
"I... I.... I don't remember" I said.
"What why?" I asked.
"I don't know it's just gone" I said.
"Did he hurt you?" He asked.
I shut my eyes and tried to remember.
"I don't remember papa" I said as I go up and walked out of granny's.
I ran down the street to Henry's house.
*knock knock*
"Kat?" Snow asked.
"Yeah is Henry up?" I asked.
"He just went to bed" charming said as he walked over.
"I really need to talk to him" I said.
"Okay?" Snow said as she walked up the stairs.
"You okay?" Charming asked.
"Um I think so" I said.
"He's awake you can go up and talk" snow said as I walked past her and ran upstairs.
"Kat? What's wrong?" He asked as I sat on his bed next to him.
"I can remember anything about my stepfather" I said.
"Maybe you erased your mind of it some how" he said.
"That's not possible" I said.
"Oh it's very possible especially the world we live in" he said.
"Why would I do that though" I said.
"Because they were probably bad" Henry said.
"Really bad I guess" I said.
"So your father what did he say" Henry asked.
"He said he was forced to leave my mother kicked him out" I said as I played with my necklace.
"Oh" he said.
"I'm not worried about it I mean look here we are in storybook" I said.
"Yeah here you are" he said.
"I guess I should probably go I'm sure my dad is looking for me" I said as I stood up.
"I'll see you tomorrow" Henry called as I walked down the stairs.
"Yeah" I said with a smile as I walked out the door.

*morning*
"Good morning papa" I said as he woke up.
"Good morning Kathlyn" he said.
"Ready for breakfast?" I asked.
"Of course" he said as he followed me on the door and down to granny's.
"Kat! Hook! You guys can join my mom and I" Henry said as we walked in the door.
My dad didn't hesitate because he like Emma a lot and he was hoping that eventually she would like him back.
I sat next to Henry and order pancakes.
"Nervous about school" Henry asked as my breakfast arrived.
"Nope because I know my best friend Henry has my back" I said with a smile.
"Yeah I do" he said as we are our food.
Henry is a year younger than me which means he's in 9th grade and I'm in 10th I guess that's how that works here in Storybook.
"Ready?" Henry asked as we finished our food.
"Yeah" I said.
"By kids see you guys later" Emma called as we walked out of granny's.
"So now we walk to the bus" he said.
"Bus?" I asked.
"Yeah Kat it's okay" he laughed.
"Who's on it" I asked.
"Other kids" he said.
"Oh okay" I said slowly as we approached the bus.
"Hi" Henry said to the bus driver as we got on.
"Hi Henry" the bus driver said.
I already hated the bus and I had only just gotten on it.
