I woke up the next morning with an arm draped over my stiff body.

I moved all the hair out the way to see Imani laying there.

I sighed and moved her arm. She groaned and turned over.

"I feel like shit" She mumbled, I let out a small giggle and brushed down my hair with my fingers.

"Welcome to the club"

She rolled her eyes and at up in the bed.

"Oh yeah. Nate gave me this note for you. I think it's a phone number."

I reached into the jeans pocket and pulled out a small folded paper.

I opened the paper and saw his phone number on it.

"Why would I want his number?"

I questioned while looking through the medicine cabinet to find advil.

"He said to call him. He wants to talk to you"

I groaned.

"It better not be about last night" I said to myself.

"Oh...what happened last night?" She came closer and grabbed the bottle of water and advil out of my hand.

"I just told him to stop worrying about me like we're together. We've only know each other for a couple of days. It's not like he's my man"

"But maybe he's feeling you"

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah ok"

I walked into the bathroom and washed my face.

I wiped the make up off my face and changed into some of her pjamas.

"You might wanna change"

"I will. But right now I just wanna know if you're feeling him too"

I sighed and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Listen girl, I think he's cute and whatever but I ain't feeling him like that and I know he probably feel the same way"

She laughed like something was funny.

"Listen to yourself. Why would he stop you from getting with that guy then?"

I shrugged.

"I guess his big brother instincts kicked in. Enough talk about him. I'm hungry."

"Ihop is always the best hangover cure for me." She grinned.

"Well it's better than you cooking so... I'm down" She grabbed her keys and I didn't bother changing.

"So tell me why you won't give him the time of day again?"

"I'm just not ready for something like that. I'm not into being in a comitted relationship. I like to be a free girl"

She smiled a bit.

"Well at least he stopped you from going home with another guy. He's protecting you"

"You need to stop. This is gonna go nowhere, so why try"

"I'm just waiting for this to go somewhere. Because I know it will. Even if I have to do something about it"

"You an annoying bitch, you know that?" I said to her.

"Like you're not the same"

I rolled my eyes and got out the car.

I opened the door for her and walked in behind her.

"Do you guys mind if we sit here?" I looked up from my phone to see who she was asking.

My smile faltered when I saw that I had to sit next to Nate.

"Hey ma"
