Wes held Mya's hand as the walked down the street, getting closer to Mya's apartment.

He offered to walk her home since she felt sick halfway through dinner. "You don't think I'm a bad person do you? I man we just met and all but do I really use people to get what I want? I care about their feelings, they just don't car-" Wed cut her off by putting a hand over her mouth.

"Mya, whatever Mia said to you wasn't true. So far you've been great to me"

She sighed and kicked a rock that was sitting nearby, "but what about all the other guys?"

Wes turned to her with a look of confusion on his face. "Other guys? Imani never told me about them..."

"Of course she didn't, if she did then you would see how much of a slut I am."

Wes's eyes widened out of shock, "Mya don't say that! Stop talking about yourself like that you're nothing like that you're a sweet girl"

She tried to stay calm but there was so much she was holding in, "Okay well sweet girls don't sleep around! And they don't tell the guys she's gonna call the next day when she doesn't! Sweet girls shouldn't break hearts or try to ruin other relationships for her benefit...I am not the girl Imani made me out to be" she began to walk away.

Wes shook his head and ran to catch up with her, "Mya I don't care about all that. Everyone has some kind of reputation and trust me that yours is far from horrible. Okay yeah your afraid of commitment and you tried it once and it didn't work out."

"I just didn't try hard enough" she replied, "I don want relationship based solely off of sex. I want someone who I can buy my first house with or have my first kid with. My mom caught my Dad cheating and ever since then I've never wanted to step foot back in that house and I never want to speak to him again"

He put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer, "You see, you knew where it all started. You don't want to be in a committed relationship because you're afraid that you'll get cheated on."

They stood outside of her apartment building and Wes hugged her, "Sometimes all you need to do is trust the person you love. Have faith in them and as long as you trust and have faith you'll be alright."

She hugged him back and kissed his cheek before waving bye one last time.
