The bar on Grand had been around for quite some time, so you could only guess somehow it always seemed to smell like a drunk’s vomit. Gross, right?

Well anyway, that's where I was, in just sweatpants and a T-shirt, not appreciating Minhyuk’s midnight call to go help his friend who, might I add, probably hates my guts.

“I hate your guts!” He slurred, leaning forward to where I sat.

See? Confirmed.

“Hyung, be nice,” Minhyuk rubbed Yonghwa’s back sympathetically. “She came here in the middle of the night for us, you could at least be grateful.”

“Grateful? I ask her here cuz she ruined mah life!” He pointed at me and with that he threw back another shot. “Now…now my puppy Korea go again”

“What? What is he talking about?” I asked, extremely confused. “Minhyuk, how much has he had?”

“I…drunk…am not!”

“Too much so he's being dramatic,” Minhyuk sighed once again. “I think we should take him home now.”

“Minhyuk! This out of stay. This ahjumma and me between is.”

“Bro, the F happened to his English?”

Yonghwa resisted as Minhyuk tried to pull him out of the booth, but soon he was able to lock an arm around him and wrench him out of the seat.

“Um… When he has more than seven drinks,” he explained. “He starts speaking English in Korean sentence structure. Don't worry.”

“Well, whatever. Why don’t we… try to get him home? You carry him and I’ll, um, make sure you don’t get hit by cars.”

Minhyuk gave me an unamused smile. “It’s fine. no need to overexert yourself. I drove the car here.”

“Well thank God because I wasn’t planning on doing that.” I laughed.

He rolled his eyes in response. and began to walk out of the nearly empty bar, heading for the door. When he reached it, I held the door open for them to wobble through and Minhyuk began to lead us both to the car that was right outside. Coincidentally, it was blue.

“Get in,” he struggled as he tried to throw Yonghwa in the backseat. I slid into the passenger side and closed the door behind me. Soon, Minhyuk was able to join me in the driver’s seat. He sighed as he started the car and began to drive without hesitation, not even bothering to buckle up.

“Yo, Minhyuk, it’s click it or ticket around these parts,” he didn’t respond. “Yah! Noona is worried about you, Hyukkie.!” That seemed to get his attention. He sighed and at the red light we arrived at, he buckled his seat belt. Hehe, guess my first time using Koreaboo speech paid off.

I looked over my shoulder to see Yonghwa sprawled out across the backseat, belt still around his waist, but in a position that didn’t look the most comfortable. A double chin displayed as he seemingly slept.s

I couldn’t help but laugh once again.

“Does this kind of thing bother you a lot?” I asked Minhyuk. He never took his eyes off the road, but shook his head.

“Well, not as much as you’d think. This isn’t as bad as when Hongki hyung drank two Red Bulls and the whole bottle of French Vanilla coffee creamer.. Now that was a mess.”

“Huh,” I sighed.

“I will drop you off at the front. Can you handle him for a minute so I can park?”

Umm I wasn’t sure I was ready for that kind of responsibility. Usually fake plants died within two days of knowing me.

But for some reason I said “Ok.”
